cobra_gordo Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Looks like it's totally sold out. Bugger! Quote
Merzbow Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 The bottom two stages have some awesome bands, fucking Noothgrush and Primitive Man playing the same festival as Linkin Park and Aerosmith is hilarious yet great. Quote
FourHorsemanAA Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Looks like it's totally sold out. Bugger! I believe weekend tickets are sold out but day tickets will be on sale soon Quote
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted December 1, 2016 Paid Members Posted December 1, 2016 Hellfest sells out before the line-up is announced ala Glastonbury Quote
cobra_gordo Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 I knew it was a big deal but I didn't know it was that crazy for tickets. Might be worth keeping an eye out for 2018. For anyone that's been there, is it easy enough to get to? Stay somewhere the night before and the night after? Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted December 1, 2016 Author Paid Members Posted December 1, 2016 yeh it sold out before they'd even announced a band. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 It's sells out on reputation alone, similar to Wacken does most of the time. Got my ticket for KISS in May this morning. You know they'll tour as long as there's money to be made, but you've got to think that will come to an end sooner or later Quote
Merzbow Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Wacken seems to have fell behind the past few years if my friends are to be believed, Party.San Open Air is the main festival for the heavier side of things in Germany. Although, I suspect there's some elitism there as Wacken looks bigger than ever but with more "mainstream" bands. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 Alter Bridge (Sunday Sub-headline), Clutch, Opeth, Mastodon, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Airbourne, Wakrat, Pierce The Veil, Ministry, Devildriver, Simple Plan, Sleeping With Sirens, Coherd & Cambria, The Dead Daisies, Exodus, The One Hundred, Asteroid Boys, Issues, Lost Society, Crown The Empire, Four Year Strong, Knuckle Puck, Basement and Grey Wind all added to Download 2017. Alter Bridge seem destined to have that subheadline spot forever Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted December 2, 2016 Author Paid Members Posted December 2, 2016 Strong rumors that Guns N'Roses are gonna be playing Reading Festival. Quote
