Diane Morgan setting up the game of Find The Quid had me in stitches.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 12, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 12, 2017 I watched the first couple episodes on the strength of the comments in here. It's ok; nothing amazing. Diane Morgan is obviously the best thing about it.

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 13, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 13, 2017 Nah, that's not the issue. The situations aren't that hard to relate to and understand. I just don't much care for the characters so far.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted November 14, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted November 14, 2017 Two episodes in and really enjoying Motherland. Very different to what I expected, a lot more understated, but Diane Morgan is absolutely brilliant. And the World of Animals bloke being racist was a great gag. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 22, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 22, 2017 Seth Rogen has a new tv show called Future Man. I haven't watched it yet, but it looks fun. This post is really just a warning - I watched the trailer and I thought it gave away too much. I would say that if you know you want to check it out anyway and like to go in fresh, avoid the trailer for sure.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 27, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) Godless is as good as others are saying. Particularly the very end was absolutely beautiful. Some of performances are bordering on excellent. It is very much a 2017 western, with feminism, LGBT and integration very much at the front, which may have felt like it belied the time period, if the writing and acting wasn't so strong. Thankfully, it all leads to a brilliant finale and adds another wrinkle to the genre. Edited November 27, 2017 by ColinBollocks
wordsfromlee
I've been watching Ronnie O'Sullivan's American Hustle on YouTube. Ronnie travelling around the states, different city each episode, playing pool and trying to hustle locals while learning about the history of the city. A travesty that most of them have never heard of Ron before. I also hate that Americans say "snukah".
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted December 2, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted December 2, 2017 We said goodbye to Vice Principals this week. Â Excellent final episode, but I will miss it.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted December 2, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted December 2, 2017 What has everyone else made of the new season of Curb? Personally think it's the weakest season. Granted standards are high, but a few episodes have been a bit light on laughs. Some really good episodes, of course, but too many are a little forgettable. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 2, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted December 2, 2017 It's not been the best season, no, but still very good, I think. My favourite thing that Larry does is when he gets angry. Like when he ripped the beef jerky out of Leon's hand in this season. Cracks me up.
Mr_Danger
Godless was excellent I thought. The lad O'Connell is a serious talent. I've only really seen him in a few things but between this and Starred Up he proves himself to be one of those actors who demands the viewers full attention. Most of the cast are really good tbf, Jeff Daniels does ok but he has  a lot to work with and doesn't exactly blow you away.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted December 3, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) I re-watched Harry Brown recently and thought he was really good in it, haven't seen Starred Up or '71- which were his breakthrough performances. Worth watching? They seem to be highly rated. Edited December 3, 2017 by PunkStep
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 3, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted December 3, 2017 Has anyone watched the mini series Mars on Netflix? It's like a mix between a drama about the first humans going to Mars in 2033, interspersed with fake documentary footage of the lead up to.it in 2016.
