Can anyone recommend a decent external hard drive?

Something in the 2TB region, preferably USB powered rather than with its own power supply (unless someone can convince me that a powered one is great). I'm not bothered about social media backup apps, and only marginally interested in cloud storage.

She's booked the hotel so I'm not sure where that is exactly but I know we're doing the zoo at Regent Park (so that's either Chalk Farm or Baker Street and walk through)

Your distances are way off. Camden Town's the closest tube station to London Zoo. About 5-10 minute walking or 2 minutes on a bus.

and doing stuff in Covent Garden (so either go to Piccadilly Circus and walk or take the tube all the way to Holbon.

Again, just get off at Covent Garden or Leicester Square. Piccadilly Circus and Holborn are both further away.

Looking the website it seems to be saying £2.80 for a single, but like I say I'm not sure exactly where the hotel is.

If I can top it up with more if I spend £20, then we should be ok

Singles depend on where you're going from and to and at what time. All depends on the zones and time of day. The daily cap for zones 1-2 at peak times is £8.40 so as long as you don't go outside zone 2 (which you won't if you're doing general tourist stuff) then regardless of how many journeys you make (tube, bus, etc.) the most you'll pay is £8.40. You have to put a deposit of £3 on the card so, to be safe, I'd put £30 on each card. It won't run out and you can just top it up if you visit London again. What you have to remember is that you're meant to have enough on the card for your entire journey. So you touch in and it'll show you on the barrier the amount on your card but it'll only debit the card when you touch out the other side and the barrier will tell you how much you have left. If you have £3 on it to start and you make a journey that costs £5 then it won't let you through the barriers at the other side and you might get fined for not having enough credit. You might get a sympathetic guard that'll let you top-up before he lets you out but they don't have to do that and can fine you so I'd make sure you have enough first.

Looks like I'm gonna be stuck in Leeds until a 6am train arrives. Not a major problem - if it was I'd book into a last minute hotel room. I haven't been out for a few drinks in forever and I'm full of energy tonight, might as well use it as an excuse. Any recommendations where to go, preferably for somebody on their own? By the time I get into Leeds it will only be 8 hours until my train anyway so by the time I grab a coffee and no doubt a McDonalds in the morning it shouldn't be too bad.

Just done a quick google, options for a single young man about Leeds full of vim and spunk.

I'm going to see ICW in Liverpool in two weeks. Really struggling finding reasonably priced Accomodation. The current plan is for 4 of us to sleep in a double room at a travelodge which is costing £140. Yes that did say one hundred and forty sterling pounds.

Anyone know of anything better? Looking for something in the city Center

£35 a person for a city centre isn't bad
