Sorry, another thread based on me thinking a lot about SummerSlam 1991!

I don't think I've ever rewatched the Savage/Liz wedding. Or certainly not since the first couple of times I rewatched the show as a kid. If I'm watching a version with the snake angle on it, I'll jump to that, otherwise, I'll just finish after the match made in HELLLLLLLLLLL!

The Gobbledy Gooker angle from Survivor Series 1990 is another big skip for me. Again, I dunno when I last bothered with that. Even when I put that show on in the background or I'm falling asleep, I'll still skip that shit.

I remember a podcast, maybe SCG, saying "Who's still watching Mania 13 after Bret/Austin finishes?" I concur with that one. I'd bet I've watched that Mania 10 times, Bret/Austin 100 times and Sid/Taker twice!

not to drag things down into a miserable place, but I skip Chris Benoit matches on any rewatch of a show he's on. I'll never get any enjoyment out of watching him, so not putting myself through it.

The Attitude Era gets a lot of fast-forwarding; anything that you would have dreaded your Mam walking in on you watching gets a fast-forward, and that doesn't leave much else.

The wedding is worth watching for Bobby's "I wonder what kind of blue light special dress Elizabeth is going to be wearing" and Roddy's subsequent blowup at him as well as "I heard the ring bearer's a midget" and "Litterbug!".

You also get the "Don't you just love the way leather feels against your body?" payoff for the Mountie in the interim.

Anything involving The Smoking Guns, The Godwinns, Bodydonnas. Out of the three, the Gunns are the least bad, but they also never had a match or angle decent enough for me to watch again.

You just need to skip the entire PPV until the main event between The Undertaker, Vader, Bret Hart and Steve Austin. Fantastic match.

Mine is more general - if I watch a WWE show I skip through the wrestlers arriving every time, sometimes you’re looking at as much as 6-7 mins of that before a show properly gets going. I also skip through a lot of the entrances, particularly Jey USO, when he does the ‘rewind’ bit and they show people yeeting for minutes on end.

In AEW, I skip through pretty much anything involving Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly. Chris Jericho can be 50/50, sometimes I just let his stuff happen, other times I’m less generous.

I also skip through anything involving Jay Lethal. I just don’t want to see that man in any mainstream company. 

As far as rewatching goes, I’d also add Chris Benoit matches to the list. I haven’t watched anything involving Vince McMahon since the allegations against him surfaced, but I imagine I’d find a lot of his segments very difficult to watch; particularly when he booked himself to hook up with young women, or have his backside kissed. I’m not suggesting the latter was in itself a purposely sexual act, but he certainly seemed to get off on humiliating people.

I'm cool with Briscoe most of the time but hard agreed on Strong, O'Reilly and Lethal. Lethal's two mates too.

Any male member of Sky Flight is an instant skip, I can live with Zayda Steel (currently). The Outrunners too, dreadful wrestlers with a gimmick that got old incredibly quickly and wasn't great to begin with.

Sammy Guevara because he's Sammy Guevara. I have an irrational hatred of Kommander too.

Pretty much anyone who's entrance on an AEW show is accompanied by me being told they've won a lot of matches in RoH lately, really. Athena and Bandido would be about the only exceptions to that. And the Dark Order if they ever got on AEW shows.

I actually skip a lot of AEW because I'm both pressed for time and just too impatient and my regard for good matches is lowering with almost every good TV match because I don't really care or given reason to for a lot of it, so I do skip the stuff like Strong etc (that'll cheer up @RedTwoster) but whilst Roderick Strong might be skippable he's still more than his weight than fucking SKY FLIGHT!

JESUS!!!! What a pack of absolutely nothing that is. Scorpio Sky, Matt Sydal & Top Flight. All perfectly fine but together it's just a big bag of salt n shake but there's no blue bag in the packet. Typing this now I've just started laughing remembering when Top Flight started wearing airline gear for a bit. God they've really tried with them lads but there is nothing isn't there. Absolutely nothing.

In terms of the current day, I will always skip a JERICHO match. The queue for the toilets during his match Vs Hook at Wembley in 2024 were proof that a lot of other people feel the same way as I do.

Copeland in a singles match, immediate skip.

Jay Lethal (apart from when Jarrett was carrying that tag team) skip

I hate doing it cos I’m a fan of both, but if I ever rewatch WM12 I skip through the majority of the Iron Man match between Bret and Shawn and only watch the entrances/opening 5-10 then the final 10/overtime because it’s such a boring match through older eyes

The only thing that can be considered a “regular” watch are the WWE Vault and WCW channels, otherwise it’s just me watching whatever I feel like on YouTube or the various old school wrestling Google drives I have access to.

The WCW channel has a lower skip ratio just because it’s WCW. Of the last 10 I would skip

Probably Justin Liger in WCW comp (not my thing, and they left off his random match with Freebird Jimmy Jam Garvin and him teaming with Bill Kazmaier in the Lethal Lottery which is exactly what you want from WCW)

Sky Flight!! Fuck, so boring I didn’t even think to mention them. I think Dante Martin is enormously enjoyable in ring but as a collective their collective blandness creates a level of white noise that makes me forget what I’m watching, never mind who they’re wrestling or what they’re doing.

Strong irritates me more, but at least he makes me feel something.
