I always had a real soft spot for 2002-2004 lower-card WWE shitarses. I wanted nothing more than 'Planet' Shawn Stasiak and 'The Reflection Of Perfection' Mark Jindrak to form a tagteam known as Planet Perfection, to the point I created them on multiple WWE games and had them dominate the tag team division.

It would've been shit but I wanted to see it.

Not sure how low level it is but during the New Generation era Hayabusa was contacted to join the WWF before Hakushi, it wouldn't have ended well as we all know how they used certain foreign talent but I've always wanted to see that since hearing about it. If I remember correctly it was while he was still in Mexico, pre-FMW debut of the gimmick.

On topic I'd have liked to see him join AJPW full time, too. Baba was obviously a fan of his after the great tag team showings and he would have been around during the years of the Four Pillars.

on a similar note to that, the idea that The Sultan gimmick was adapted from the WWF's plans for Sabu. You can see it; the baggy trousers, vague Arabian gimmick, the mask and the idea that he'd had his tongue cut out covered Sabu not speaking, and felt like a WWF New Generation twist on the brief period when Sabu wore a Hannibal Lecter mask to the ring. The story was that he turned it down because he didn't want to be managed by The Iron Sheik, out of respect to his uncle.

But there's a possibility there that for about 18 months from 1996 and into the cusp of 1998, Sabu could have been in the WWF, right as things started transitioning from the New Generation to the Attitude Era, and as they were getting beaten by WCW enough that they were prepared to try almost anything. It's fascinating to think how and where he could have fit in the mix; Sabu vs. Shawn or Bret could be really interesting matches, you've also got Mankind and later Terry Funk coming in so there's the opportunity to revisit their ECW matches, but how about Sabu vs. Vader? Or does he end up in the Light-Heavyweight tournament and wrestle Great Sasuke? Is his style exciting and new enough to actually speed-run WWE moving more into hardcore and stunt spots?

At the time I really enjoyed all this and I always thought they should've done more with Brian Christopher. 

Looking back that was fairly silly thinking as he surely had reached his peak with what they did do with him, but he was a brilliant little chicken shit heel and the *wink wink* Lawler stuff had legs as well.

Taker & Kane were the main reason Kronik never had a fair shake in 2001 weren't they? had that shite match at Unforgiven and that was it.  It was like Taker felt duty bound to do the shovel work during the invasion to make up for H being off telly with this beautiful day quad injury.  

Could have at least had Kronik come in and batter the Hardyz or a team who would do a bit of bumping for them.

I always found that odd as by all accounts Taker and Adams were best mates. Both part of BSK etc. You’d think he’d have gone to bat for him despite how bad that match was.

Wasn't there reports that it was Taker who pushed for the Kronik match (probably as a favour to Adams) and was embarrassed when it went to shit? 

Might be why he let them take the blame.

Struck me as him absolutely throwing them to the wolves and Taker getting away with it because of that utterly bizarre respect he had from 'the boys.' Pillman had him figured out and that's why they weren't pally.

Didnt Pillman also turn down a run with Hogan in WCW, because he knew it would be the end of his push/gimmick (would have been early Loose Cannon) once he took the big leg?

Wasn't the actual story the company wanted to send them to development to work off the ring rust (after the disastrous Taker/Kane match) but they took it as an insult and refused, hence the release?  I don't think they were fully Bagwelled just because of the one match.
