Carefully measured escalation though. Attacking a civilian show in a non combatant country isnt just raising the stakes, it's flipping the table.

It's also worth saying that after Iran, the next country to know about the plan to attack the base in Qatar was the Americans.

They had no intention of killing anyone or causing any real damage. They just wanted a bit of B-roll for the state TV channels to sell as them having got their revenge.

I don't think they want to attack a) Saudi Arabia and all that'd entail or B) a room full of American celebrities.

Like I say, plenty of reasons to skip these shows but I'm not convinced by this one.

Cody flat out said Nope when asked a few years on Twitter if he was MAGA. I'm presuming he was asked to do a speech celebrating the military and sing happy birthday to them, but then Trump decided to turn his speech into his usual rambling, MAGA rally shit all about himself and potshots at Biden. So loads of people think it was Trump rally.

If Cody still isn't MAGA I doubt he was over the moon about that.
