Unsung hardmen

Hi guys 

We all here about the recognised hardmen;

Haku, barbarian, Rude, Race

But in alot of shoots other names come 

Duggan, Orndoff, Koko

What stories have you heard.

One of the most random I've heard in shoots is Koko was an utter hardcase and once Boss man kicked off (circa Twin Towers era) with Koko and Koko utterly battered him.

Randy Anderson, the WCW ref. Whenever a fan tried to hop the guardrail and jump in the ring, which seemed to happen far too often in WCW, Randy was in there like a flash either applying a tight chokehold or trying to kick their head into the back row. He was probably about 4’6” and 120lbs soaking wet, but he could handle anyone in a proper scrap

May not fully fit the bill but I remember a story of Chavo trying to attack the Big Show and rather than fight back Big Show was just reasoning with Chavo whilst Chavo kept punching. It’s an amazing visual.

Both Briscoes were, yeah. Amateur backgrounds. Good ol' country boys etc. 

I think a lot/most of the guys in the territory days had to have a certain level of toughness and be able to handle themselves in public, due to the unwritten rule that they'd be fired if they lost a fight with a so-called civilian. 

The likes of Dick Slater, Manny Fernandez etc. were not to be trifled with...

A lot of the British workers from back in the day were right tough old bastards from what I hear.

Adrian Street was not someone to mess with, Finlay and Regal battered each other just for fun. I guess it was part of the gig back then.

...and that's just the men. I reckon Klondyke Kate and Princess Paula could batter the majority of male wrestlers today in their prime.
