Coincidentally you've also described the wrestling character Raven there.

Was this ever actually confirmed beyond that stupid List of Sleaze?

Allegedly, it's been confirmed by Joel Gertner, as his wife was in bed with them too. And it was a plot to get raven into bother because they didn't like each other. It could be bs, but equally, it could be true. Wrestlers were utter weirdos back then. Raven I think confirmed it in a shoot interview too.

Nothing confirmed he was having sex with her but Raven discussed it in one of his old shoots. His story was something like she was fully clothed and there was another woman there. The police turned up and found nothing untoward going on and left.

It is Raven though so fuck knows what the truth actually is.

Edit - Didn't know Gertner had confirmed it as well. If the other woman was Gertners wife presumably he was the one who called the cops. Very odd but this was the mid 90's and the whole ECW crew were fucked up on drugs and booze 24/7.

Will Ospreay. I have spoken to many people who have known him and they ALL say the exact same thing-A ridiculous amount of talent but an arrogant a-hole. I just can't bring myself to enjoy him.

CM Punk. I think he is essentially a big nerd who has a chip on his shoulder over the fact he isn't taken seriously enough by 'the big boys', he can't understand why he was never a Cena or a HHH and he has carried a grudge over it. Now there is nothing wrong with being a nerd (we are all posting on a wrestling forum after all) but it's clear he isn't comfortable being a nerd because he wants to be seen as a shooter or something.

Raven was also very convincingly accused of being a predator and an absolute menace by April Hunter, to the point that Joe E. Legend and another wrestler had to keep him away from her on a European tour.

He was one of my favourites as a teenage awkward goth superfan, but so much of the stuff that was held up as him being a "genius" just reminds me of Marilyn Manson in Bowling For Columbine, where if you're fourteen you think he sounds like the smartest person in the room, when really he's saying absolutely nothing.

Oh he's came across as a total knobber for years now although it does seem like he's grown up a lot recently.

John Cena

His stint on Total Divas/Bellas really soured me on him. I know it’s all scripted reality and played up for the cameras but I imagine some of it was based on reality. Came across as a really weird, robotic, control freak who cared for no one but himself. I felt really sorry for Nikki Bella during it as it seemed like a thoroughly miserable relationship to be in.

He seemed like a massive arse kisser too.

I also never forgave him for refusing to put over The Nexus during his SuperCena phase. Killed stone dead a really exciting angle which was sorely needed during one of the most boring periods of the WWE.

Two examples of the opposite for me, where IRL has actually left me liking a wrestler in spite of them being a bit shit.

Jinder Mahal seems like a really lovely guy whenever he’s interviewed. It left me willing him on to become better than he actually was; or to remain employed at the very least.

Adam Cole comes across really well in real life, and I desperately want to like him as a wrestler; to the point I’ve been willing to give all of the shit he’s done a chance. I still find everything Cole the wrestler does to be incredibly tedious, but even so, I’m willing him on to change my mind.

The way Cena communicates in interviews and on social media these days is beyond excruciating. Just not a real person.

Speaking of the Nikki relationship, I'm pretty sure she had to sign some ridiculous 100-page NDA after they broke up. Seems like there's something dodgy going on there.

In saying all that, I will always respect and appreciate just how much he does for young fans, particular with the Make-A-Wish foundation. I know it is/was good PR for him and WWE, but I think he's very genuine with it.

I mean, come on now:

Apparently he made her sign a 75-page contract when she moved in with him.

There's been a few times where I get the impression that Cena really wishes that he was in the military. Just the way he talks at times.

Make-A-Wish work aside, he just seems like a very weird guy to me.
