Not from what I know. Users on Tattle actively doxxed and harmed people in the public eye as well as random members of the public they took a dislike to including posting photos of people grandchildren along with the schools they attend. The place is a sess pit. Many victims are currently in the early stages of taking Tattle users to court as a quick Google search will tell you, and I'm with Chest, it makes me think a little less of some of you for using it and excusing it's use.

This thread is the only reason I've even been on it. I blame Keith.

Sounds similar to most social media platforms tbh.

It's not really though is it? Whilst Instagram and Facebook can be pretty awful as far as general hate towards people, in my many years of using both, I've yet to see someone go to the trouble of posting up a strangers mortgage deeds just because they 'hate' them as well as detailed information of what schools their kids go to and at what time you can intercept them

Don't think so. That happens on social media and that's an ugly side of it, but Tattle exists specifically for the purpose of what is worst part of every other social media platform.

Edit: in response to Hannibal. I think it does happen deathrey, but it's the worst case scenario. Whereas Tattle is designed to egg on that kind of behaviour.

Because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Peoples private details are revealed on there all the time. This is not the only such case https://www.brettwilson.co.uk/facebook-keyboard-warrior-ordered-to-pay-55000-in-libel-and-harassment-damages-after-false-accusations-of-animal-cruelty-and-orchestration-of-online-hate-campaign/

I’m not defending it, but it’s mostly gossip nonsense. It’s this place but with less threads about wrestling and shitting. The fact there’s bad people on there is a common thread, it’s how the website handles them which is the distinction. And it appears the answer to that is not very well.

Correct. Of course shit things happen on other social media sites, but this was purely set up for people that other people hate, and dig up shit on. Each to their own, but it has a really ugly energy about it.

I'd imagine you can dig up shit on anyone. We have a local fella who runs a page. Seems to be doing well. Talks a lot about his journey to sobriety and mental health. Spotlights a lot of good organisations. Does some local travel stuff, puts money in the pocket of local business. Seems like a guy you're delighted has made a success of his life.

Mentioned to a mate that he'd been inspiring for me to get out, take pictures, get back to the gym and he says "Oh him, I know his ex-Girlfriend, he was an absolute bastard to her."

Fuck sake. Is anyone decent these days?

Absolutely a fair thing to say, I pull people up on saying stuff like that so yes you are correct, just because I haven't seen it, doesn't mean it isn't put there

As others have said, Tattle is malicious in it's design. I think it's very different from somewhere like here, I don't think anyone here sets out to make other people feel less than when that's the whole point of Tattle. 'I don't like you and because of that I feel like I have a license to say and do whatever I want'. Sure we get trolls on here but they are mostly obvious and mostly far less obvious and harmful in targeting people.

One mans dickhead is another mans saint. Human beings are nuanced and flawed by nature.

I just had a look through a couple of threads on Tattle and "living rent free.." could not be a more apt description for the vast majority of it's users. So many people so utterly obsessed with people they hate.

I know a fair few people on here still hate-watch WWE (out of habit/hope) but Tattle is a whole other level.

To be fair, I’ve been a member since September 2022, never posted and only really used the wiki for certain social media weirdos. Like Paul Breach who I mentioned previously. I’d say I’ve logged in less than 10 times. All this information about them doxxing people is new to me. I didn’t realise the behaviour that happened on there. Really eye opening.

Me and a mate quote that Jack Grealish song all the time (Juk juk...juk juk juk juk Grealish) which was fun, but then I saw some videos where he was pretending to be "cute" or whatever, and the bloke needs stopping.

It reminds me of a bloke I used to work with; early 2010s or so. He sat at the desk next to mine, and would constantly complain about Justin Bieber and how awful he was. After months of this, I got sick of it enough to point out to him that I had never knowingly heard a note of Bieber's music, that we didn't have a radio station on in the office that played any of it, and that the only things I knew about Bieber were because he kept banging on about him. It's mad how much time and energy people are prepared to devote to people who have no bearing on their lives.

I remember discovering who was Chris Chan finally was (I am really not up to date with literally any trends or internet people) and while obviously they're a bit of a character and do themselves no favours, I ended up being sympathetic because people were doxxing them to potential employers, coercing them into sending things, calling their house, sending stuff and you just think. Right, so they're obviously odd but you are all cunts. You can be an observer and find them rather amusing, but if you are actively getting involved it's just absurdly awful to do that. I think Tattle is a bit less than that, it's just a load of madly obsessed gossipers, I view it as bit like a really bitchy OK! magazine come to life.
