It makes sense he'd be there as part of a wider team running the show. Only in the context of knowing what Vince is like does it make sense. Believe he became an “employee” again officially a few days ago so he’s definitely not going to sit back and let the creative go ways he doesn’t want it to go I imagine. Give it a few months and the reignited buzz the last few months have brought will be gone again.

Paid Members Tommy! d-d-d-dAz
A bit like CAA or any of those big talent agencies, it’s probably the best thing for WWE fans as they’ll be light touch in terms of meddling with product (or lighter than if they’d sold to Saudi or Disney or whatever). Endeavour is the biggest talent agency thanks to getting early on mergers. WWE fans will inevitably kick up a fuss over PLEs becoming PPVs again. I'm sure that was floated this week in amongst the Nick Khan press tour. You can understand why since it's the UFC model.

Surely Peacock and their huge deal would have a say in that. Can’t see them allowing it or continuing to pay the money they do without the PLEs. Subscription would include the run of the mill content, PPVs would be at a premium price. UFC & Disney double dip. Not a case of taking PPVs off the service. If the ownership went to Peacock with the same proposal, do you think Peacock would say no to the extra cash? With TV rights and next day streaming rights all about to be discussed everyone's going to be trying to eek out the best financial deals. Tsurutagun
The Peacock deal in America ends in 2026 and I can't imagine that they want to break what has been a very good arrangement for them so far. Peacock are not spending 200 million a year on old episodes of Nitro
Infinity Land
It's not about breaking a deal, it's about renegotiating that is seen as benefiting both parties. WWE and NBC Universal are about to enter negotiations over RAW, potentially Smackdown and the Hulu package. https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/nick-khan-wwe-open-to-conversations-about-returning-to-ppv-model A return to PPV? He said he loves how Peacock has expanded their audience with no upcharge and that Peacock executives would say a "substantial" portion of their 20 million paid subscribers is due to WWE. But when asked if WWE was open to conversations about following the model ESPN and UFC has with ESPN+ and UFC PPVs, Khan said they were open to conversations and that if, for example, NBCU offered 5x in rights fees but needed to have an upcharge in order to do that, they would listen.
