Merzbow Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 One thing that bothered me about the episode is that it felt like it was building more to a ROH ppv in December than their own upcoming show in two weeks. Quote
Loki Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Jarrett's group needs a proper name - is Global Force too on the nose? My main bugbear with AEW generally. Â And it meant that the show kind of fell away from the start with the AEW champ to the main event which was a title match for one of the many ROH titles I don't care about. How many titles are there now on the show? Â 25 or something? Â Way too many, Â ROH needs to be Rampage only, or better Dark only. Quote

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 3, 2022 Paid Members Posted November 3, 2022 Having the guy under the Sting mask be some nobody that the audience reacts in visible confusion to then following that up immediately with Jeff Jarrett is spectacularly bad booking. Not only was the guy under the mask reveal a complete meaningless nothing of a reveal that let down the audience now no one will remember it even happened because Jeff Jarrett turned up immediately after. The mind boggles. Quote

The mind boggles. It's AEW tradition to constantly fumble the masked person reveal. The only two instances in the win column that comes to mind is MJF at All Out and that one time Sting was under a Sting mask. Quote

How longs AEW been going to do that many "unmasking" moments for it to be noteworthy? The fact it's apparently so prevalent in it's short life is more telling of bad booking as them consistently fumbling it surely. Quote

Not sure if it leads anywhere worthwhile for them as a faction, but that was a fun thing. Quote
The King of Old School Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Where on earth is Miro? Ridiculous that someone like him can't seem to get a look in, even with all the injuries/suspensions etc. Quote

Guest Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) I do wonder with a few signings, like Miro, Danielson what the expectation was Coming in, and just what their contracts are. Both seem to be really happy doing very little. I always look at aew roster like a sports team, given Khans background, and both seem very much like veteran 3rd choice keepers just happy to get a wage and play in decent conditions than slumming it in the lower leagues Edited November 3, 2022 by Louch Quote
