Yeah like I said I'd love to see it but it's not going to happen. Final countdown was above the song budget so Stones is out of the question unless Jagger is an MJF fan

Wasn't it because Europe fucking hate the song and don't want it played? I'm sure Khan said that the biggest issue was that they'd only be able to play it a few times a year, which wouldn't be worth it.

I can't imagine the Rolling Stones have a similar feeling about Sympathy For The Devil

Nah, it gets used a lot. I think people assume as Europe weren't a massive band then their songs would be cheap. But The Final Countdown is a big, big song in wider context.

Probably why no one has ever had Never Gonna Give You Up as an entrance theme.

TK can be completely forgiven for another tournament this time around. However, I'm going to stick my hand up and vote for what a few people have already suggested and have a main event Rumble for the title at Grand Slam.

You could have had the best 10 fight it out for the final 5 spots or something a little different to keep momentum and interest going into the event. I bloody love a tournament, and as I've said, it's extreme circumstances here so it's not bothered me at all, but once I read someone suggest a rumble, heavens above was I in for that!

It could have been a great way to carry on with a reset of sorts, setting up feuds within a match which is what AEW has lost a lot of in the past year or so. The New Japan influx for one ppv, Ring of Honor presence and injuries etc have derailed so many potential feuds, you could kill a lot of birds with one giant rumble shaped stone here.

Just a thought, but what would I know eh, I drink water normally and don't really like Fulham

Everybody hates another tournament.

So let's have another variation of the Royal Rumble: Royal Rampage, are the men's, women's, tag Casino Battle Royales all annual?, Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale. Plus anything else I might be forgetting.

____

The tag battle royale the week before or after they did the tag Casino Battle Royale that led to Jurassic Express v. Young Bucks v. ReDragon.

Time to bring back the San Francisco 49ers match. One box will contain a framed photo of CM Punk, one will contain a bag of Mysterious White Wrestling Powder ®, one will obviously contain the World title belt, and the final box will contain a key. However, only one of the lockboxes can be opened by that key. Will that box contain an Interim title belt, a Coal Miner's Glove, a pink slip, or Bully's Special Prize.... Tara's spider?

I love it, it's actually one of my favourite AEW themes!

I don't understand the love for it , at all.

We've got this grizzled forty-one year old pro wrestler who's catchphrase is "I'm going to kick your fucking head in" and who does a muscle pose when he makes his opponent's submit, and his entrance music sounds like something made in a late 90's eJay demo.

He picked it as it’s made by a mate of him and his wife. The non tv version has you’re gonna get your fucking head kicked in as a lyric

It's odd on the surface, but it is authentic prizefighter music in this day and age.

I don't follow combat sports much but from what I catch, boxing and MMA hard cases don't tend to march out to Slayer. It's much more likely to be this high octane pop/hip-hop hybrid stuff that sounds like Fast series trailer music.

Mox is easy to write off screens, just have him attacked by the JAS next week after Sammy has beaten Darby on Rampage and Jericho has beaten Danielson earlier on that week's Dynamite. JAS want to make sure the world title is going back to their stable by having Jericho face Sammy in the final, job done. Or have them take both Danielson and Moxley out, resulting in Garcia going after the JAS.

You've then got the history of Jericho v MJF for the world title or two of the four pillars in Sammy v MJF (with a possible jealous Jericho in the background).

The only obstacle then is how few main eventers they have for Grand Slam. With Punk and The Elite almost certain not to be there. Do they really want Moxley and Danielson to also be missing.

Is Mox a lock to win his side of the bracket? A big part of me fancies a Bryan vs. Darby final to break up the infinite regress cycle of champs and guarantee new one going into that show. You get the veteran/youngster dynamic, the interloper/original dynamic and some interesting pathways for an MJF programme. I even kind of like the idea of MJF costing Darby the title (or trying to) because he has to be the first of the four pillars to reach the "pinnacle".

Is Pac the promotion's first-ever double champ? If so, good for him. I'm surprised they didn't take the opportunity to give Orange Cassidy his first belt though.
