AEW All Out 2021 - September 5th

Getting CM Punk in is a big deal. It has taken the company to the next level. I will be staying up and paying my money for this PPV because Punk is back wrestling.  If it can at some point get close to WWE in terms of ratings, hopefully it will make them up there game and product.

Recommend everyone listens to this. Punk just sounds so relaxed and happy. Sounds this has been a long time coming and he is motivated by the environment of Who is around him.

Ignoring the usual 'hey everyone I'm back' stuff from Punk you can just feel a guy who 10yrs ago had fallen out of love with pretty much everything he'd known and enjoyed and now has it back in abundance. The body language of his latter days in WWE to his appearances in AEW is night and day. He's definitely excited and enjoying being there. 

 

Guess it helps not having many dickheads around the locker room trying to be God's gift to wrestling all the time and having guys that have worked their way up the promotions and know what is needed from a promotion to work and what doesn't.

It's fascinating that Punk's return match is the one match on the card that I'm least sure who'll win. I fully expect Punk to win but because it's against Darby, I'm not certain in my mind that he will.

I know he's not been gone for ten years like Punk was, but it's mental to think Bryan Danielson could show up tonight and to be honest there's not really a huge amount of discussion or excitement for it from what I've seen, because everyone's still so knackered from their last big debut. 

It's such a bizarre time. I'm sure it'll help differentiate him though, when it does happen. They wouldn't be able to and shouldn't try to have a second Punk atmosphere.

That and Punk has literally come back to wrestling. Bryan debuting while huge, isn't as mental as that.

Women's Casino Battle Royal (Don't AEW always have a mystery participant in every Battle Royal they have?) From who I have seen as officially listed and with thinking Baker retains her title, I'll go with Thunder Rosa winning.

I agree with @RedRooster about not feeling this card a bit as we all got a bit flight of fancy, but their Countdown video has sold me hard. There's also CM Punk telling an outstanding story about Eddie Guerrero.

I had no idea Shane Hagadorn was working for AEW.

Maybe mildly off-topic, but do Punk and Danielson actually get along? Obviously they were in ROH together but I didn’t ever get the feeling they were keen on each other. 

Incidentally, on the now infamous Cabana podcast, Punk was complaining about someone in the Nexus raking his eyes during their Raw debut, when he’d just had laser surgery. While he was quick to name names when Ryback was doing things wrong, he was significantly vague about who it was that went for his eyes. And wouldn’t you know it…

Given how punk talked about him with Renee, I’d say they are more than fine as he wants him as a partner to face the Bucks

I've seen that the show's available to order through PSN, and as none of the new-gen consoles over here have the Fite app (grrrr) I was wondering if anyone had ordered PPV through PSN before - does it come with infinite replays or a set time limit? I could just send the Fite stream from my phone to the TV instead....
