Rare Rita Chatterton interview. Unfortunately it’s with Paul Roma and Mario Mancini so she doesn't get much of a word in. I had it on in the background while I was doing stuff round the house earlier. Not a great deal of note, she didn’t delve much into the Vince stuff from what I caught of it. Didn’t know the story of how she got into wrestling when her brother died though. 

She does talk about Bret apologising to her for his previous shitty comments though. Although the timeline of it seems messed up, she seems to think he made the comments in the 90s. Wasn’t it on that Kayfabe Commentaries shoot years after he’d retired? Either way, I’m glad he at least tried to make it right. 

@IANdrewDiceClay might be interested, the Bret stuff is around 54:20.

I actually dont believe she was talking about the Kayfabe Commentaries thing. A lot of those wrestlers spoke out against her in the 90s, sadly. The logic being "he's a billionaire, why would rape an ugly woman." Which is vile. I'm glad he apologised to her. Those wrestlers are so unhuman in many ways, that's just how most of them used to think (or still do.)

You’re probably right. I just listened to that bit again and she says he said it on “national television” so maybe he was saying it elsewhere in the 90s. Feel really bad for her but it’s good to see her feeling comfortable to talk publicly like this.

And that thinking of “he’s rich, why would he need to rape anyone?” is so prevalent it’s scary. Seen it again a lot this past week with Tyson being in the news again and McGregor being in court for rape. It’s crazy that these idiots don’t get that it’s all about power, control and degradation.

They've also uploaded the Free For All match which is such a fantastic box of gimmicks. Bart Gunn, The Real Double J, Sparky Plug and Aldo Montoya Vs Billy Gunn, Justin Hawk Bradshaw, The Sultan and Salvatore Sincere. Delightful mix of shite.

The Vault channel is amazing, but as seen in that Free For All match, as well as the majority of others they (and thew official channel) put on Youtube, they cut the entrances out. I assume its a legal thing, as it really does detract (in my opinion) from how good the vids are. Is it to do with paying royalties?

Meh, besides that and Demolition Ax's lovely hair it's a real shit show. Rare miss for me WWE Vault. Upload PPV dark matches circa 1989-1993 and we're talking.

I think they will once they actually locate it. Although there may be something in the lawsuit agreement(s) between WWE and Martha that prevent them from doing so. I think they've only released a couple of Owen matches on their YouTube channel in the past. 

I am also well up for the Vault uploading more dark or even house show matches. I find that stuff so much more interesting and it'll help fill the void (a little) after the death of the Network.

A good 75% of the people interviewed after Survivor Series 97 need their own TV show. Such an endearing mix of sincerity and absurdity. I don't see it talked about a lot but - at least based on the people they showed here - the vast majority appear completely oblivious to the fact that it had a screw finish. 

Really makes you feel how big wrestling was at the time as well that these people are all being interviewed coming out of a WWE show and loads of them are just spontaneously shouting "NWO BABY!"
