Howling at that last pic. I take it you didn’t consummate the marriage?

Congrats!

No, instead I got a bollocking for falling over whilst dancing too vigorously and almost cracking my head open.

My Mrs says I need to smile more in pictures. Honestly, my mouth starts to twitch when I attempt anything with teeth. A crooked tooth and staining has always put me off so I am crap at smiling - as weird as that sounds. Anyways, I like this pic of us at a silent Disco so here's progress, I guess.

At Stonehenge. Just in case anyone doesn't recognise it....

Were you there for the equinox?

No, on Wednesday when there was a surprising morning of sunshine inbetween the rain. One of the benefits of only having to work two mandatory shifts each week is that it's easy to turn down overtime and head off for some sightseeing on a mini-holiday.

Posing like a dick at the Taskmaster Experience, and out of my depth roped into seconding James Pharrell at Pro Wrestling East.

Sorry to hijack but wondered what it was like? We decided to skip it this time as we weren't convinced it was worth the money.

Had a bit of a sing over the weekend. Been out of the game for a while but had the privilege of being involved in a gig put on by one of my old teachers, who's the reason I do this kinda thing TBF. Pleasure to share the stage with a bunch of people I first shared a stage with in my early teens.

It was good fun, but I'd struggle to say it's worth the money.

There's two options for either easier or harder tasks, and we did easier. There were only four of us in the group, whereas other groups going in before and after us were much bigger, and I imagine that changes the dynamic a lot more - when it came to a team task, because there were so few of us, we had the option of just doing it individually instead, and I imagine that would have been very different with more people involved.

You get a few pre-recorded videos from Greg and Alex, and then have an actor as "Little Little Alex Horne" to guide you through each task.

Not to give away what the tasks are, but there's one simple physical task that feels better suited to a studio task, two that are a bit more lateral thinking, then a "build a thing" task, and the top five scorers go on to the prize task, with anyone else doing a supplementary task while that happens. I would have liked one of the tasks to be a bit more escape room-y, and only one of them really felt to me like you're doing something that might have been a proper Taskmaster task. Again, probably different with a different group of people.

Some of the stuff around the immersive experience stuff is good fun, but I don't think there's a way to just go in for all of that without buying tickets to the whole thing. There's a "Taskmaster Museum", which has a few objects from the show, some framed artwork from past tasks, and a lot of hidden easter eggs, there's a chance to play the potato golf task, bits and pieces like that. There's a tech demo for the Taskmaster VR game, but it wasn't working when I was there.

Honestly, my highlight was probably getting the chance to undermine a vole. You've got no chutzpah!

@BomberPat Thanks! Yeah I think I would've enjoyed it. I've watched them all a bazillion times by now so I probably would've enjoyed all the little references and stuff, while the others that were half interested probably wouldn't have got as much out of it. It's a fine line. Definitely jealous of the vole!
