Imagine saying a couple of months ago that Solo Sikoa should be the man to take the title from Roman Reigns? But honestly strap a rocket to the guy, he’s funny, he’s charming, he’s got a good look. He’s way more “The Rock” than anyone else and it doesn’t feel forced like it does with LA Knight.

A much better effort from RAW this week than previously, and SmackDown. 

Solo Sikoa looks to have real potential, enjoyed the segment with the Bloodline and Knight. 

Enjoyed Gable vs Mysterio, and the other matches with the AAA guys tbf. Oba and Bron's bit was decent enough, Obas impression of Bron was comical.

But yeah, all in all I'm interested in seeing what they do with Sikoa.

Nah I still rate Knight. I think him and Solo could be your two top faces on raw.

Knight has managed to stay incredibly over despite the fact his booking has been all over the place, so fair play to him.

As someone who only watches Raw highlights via Instagram, I love LA Knight and would love a run at the top. My opinion counts for little.

I don’t think he’s terrible - just something doesn’t quite click for me as a very top guy. It just feels like he’s doing an impression of a wrestler (not quite as bad as Ricky saints but same vibe)

As someone sick as fuck as the episode of Shortland Street or Knots Landing which has become the Bloodline, I was very happy with the end of Raw this week. I'm all in on Solo, and also LA Knight as a useful loser. But what I don't get is, are the Bloodline heels again now? While dancing with kids and the whole Acknowledge shite?

 

It seems like making teams for War Games at the moment. Roman/Usos/2 others vs Knight, SOLO, Jacob/ 2 others. It won't compare to War Games 92. No-one will take a bullet to prove themselves like Koloff, or wear Yellow Trunks out of the blue as they're bleeding for Brtiain.

I think War Games might be Roman, Uso's, Jacob and Zilla Fatu against Solo, Knight, Keys, Oba and whoever else to make up the numbers.

Probably Rollins.

The ending of that Summerslam match with Reigns felt pretty definitive, so you'd hope they'll separate these two now, so no Bloodline stuff for Rollins.

This worries me, as I expect that means Rollins goes off to Smackdown and when Punk inevitably turns heel they go back to that well for WrestleMania. Sigh.

Rollins to win the Rumble/EC and go against Punk at Mania.

Took me forever to get around to watching it, but this week’s Raw was low-key one of the best episode of the year. Is Summerslam to Survivor Series quietly becoming Hunter’s new Wrestlemania season?

Ridiculously good match between Rey Mysterio and Chad Gable, super effective promo with Oba Femi and Bron Breakker and then a fantastic angle to close the show. A carbon copy of the Sami Zayn Royal Rumble angle, sure, but if you’re going to re-hash stuff why not re-hash the best stuff you’ve ever done.

Felt vindicating watching that closing stretch. Those of us who’ve highlighted how frustrating it is watching Roman flip flop between being a babyface and a heel, it was satisfying to see him finally commit to being a proper gaslighting prick again. Those of us who acknowledged how funny Solo Sikoa was as the leader of the MFTs, his banter alone carrying those awful three hour Smackdowns last year, it’s great to see them finally capitalising on it. And those of us who remain flabbergasted at how over LA Knight is despite all the false stars from the booking committee and all the slips and stumbles from his two left feet. This finally feels like his real, proper chance on top.

Also; those of us who’ve known for years that Seth Rollins is absolute dog shit and any show can be improved immeasurably by fucking him off. Pure vindication! In his absence, this is the hottest, freshest, and most exciting Raw has felt in ages.

Now they’ve fixed Tamma and Taller Tonga by bringing in Haku as their manager, maybe they need to bring Bill Watts in to manage LA Knight. He can stand at ringside and solemnly shake his head every time LA Knight even considers going to the top rope. Right now, those botches feel like the only thing stopping him from reaching the next level. Stop falling over and making a tit of yourself and maybe they’ll finally pull the trigger!

Funny watching LA Knight and Solo Dolo knocking about as this generation’s version of Stone Cold and Rikishi. Let’s just hope Solo doesn’t end up running Knight over with a car at Survivor Series. He’ll say, “I did it…for The Rome,” but through some nonsensical explanation it’ll actually come out that Triple H was the real mastermind because he’s the bestest and smartest, don’t you know.

Cracking show overall. Top stuff all around. Five, “pew pews,” from me.

Never come back, Seth. Nobody misses you.
