Paid Members Nexus Posted October 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 21, 2025 I had it with one PS5 controller, and the other one just does not hold charge so has to be constantly plugged in. Bollocked if I'm paying £50+ for a new controller though, I just keep it plugged in. Quote
Matthew Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 The PS5 Dualsense Edge is a lot more expensive than a standard PS5 controller but having had stick drift over the last 2yrs of having it, the only thing needing to be replaced was the £15-£20 for the actual stick. Feels a lot more premium in itself too, with the paddles underneath and adaptable L2/R2 dependent upon game. Quote

Getting hold of the sticks can be a issue at times though. Best place I found was the official Sony website, you just have to keep a eye on it. Quote
BrodyGraham Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 (edited) I've fucked off official controllers altogether and just get 8bitDo or GameSir controllers now, them being cheaper/sturdier and equipped with Hall Effect sticks. Unfortunately neither do PS5 controllers, so it's a bit of a moot point! Sorry. Edited October 23, 2025 by BrodyGraham Quote
Merzbow Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Does anyone actually find "Haptic Feedback" at all worth it? Quote
The Curious Orange Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I'd say Astro's Playroom / Astro Bot are the only times I've thought a game wouldn't be as good without them. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I absolutely love it on Astro, but yeah apart from that pretty much no reason for it. They set the bar pretty damn high with it and no one's really bothered too much since. Quote
Paid Members Nexus Posted October 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 23, 2025 I think it was also a bit useful during Spiderman 2. Quote
TildeGuy~! Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 My R2 button broke whilst playing Horizon Zero Dawn due to the haptic feedback for shooting arrows. Quote

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted October 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 28, 2025 I had stick drift with my Switch Lite, but not with my regular Switch, although I did mostly use the Hori split pad with it, apart from when I used the Mobapad (until one of the shoulder buttons stopped working). When my XBox One pad gave up the ghost I picked up a PowerA controller, which did fine, and I can't even remember what third party PS4 pad I got from Asda for £20, but it laster longer than both my previous official Sony controllers combined. Thus far my Switch 2 has been fine. I thought I was having stick drift problems the other day, but something was leaning against my Pro Controller making stuff move on the screen. I'm hoping Hori will put out a split pad with a 6 button layout, given the presence of SF6 on Switch. I've been playing Ball X Pit as well. It's like Bust A Move: the roguelite. You pick where you're shooting your balls (more tea, vicar?) and progress through the level, then build up your farm/base and unlock extra characters and power ups. It's a really simple formula, and I've seen it called "this year's Balatro", which is always a weird thing to call something. Haven't had a proper go on Street Fighter 6 for a while. Did have a blast with Sagat, who seems to be the same beast he always is. I need to time and opportunity to set my little stand up with my fight pad. Did the Wallace & Gromit DLC for the first Power Wash Simulator. It was so good. I cried when I saw what the last level was because it reminded me of watching A Grand Day Out with my mum when I was a kid. Really got me in the mood for Power Wash 2. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted October 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 29, 2025 Thanks to the recommendations on here I'm about 4 achievements away from 100%ing Ball X Pit and have til 31/10 when my Gamepass runs out to do it. Wholly addictive game that my playtime throughout the week has already surpassed 1 day on. Shoutout to the Maggot X Holy Laser Combo. Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted October 29, 2025 Moderators Posted October 29, 2025 Thanks guys. My son is going to fucking love ball x pit; heaved just bought it now on the switch so he can get stuck in to it whilst he's home for half term... Quote
Paid Members Weezenal Posted October 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 30, 2025 (edited) Just got an email saying 'Prime members now get access to Amazon Luna' - so if you have Prime so more games for you. Just gave it a quick go, loaded up Alien Isolation and worked really well with keyboard and mouse. I don't know if it's changed but I couldn't use Gamepass with keyboard and mouse before so that's pretty good to know when I should be working. EDIT - There is a keyboard and mouse section on Gamepass Cloud now - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play/gallery/mouse-and-keyboard Edited October 30, 2025 by Weezenal Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted October 31, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 31, 2025 Who had an Animal Crossing New Horizons update on their bingo card? Seems like a prime opportunity to start a new island on my Switch 2. Quote
