Portal 2 is even better! An absolutely tremendous game and a definte classic.

Yes, I think I got them both for £2 for the pair in the summer sale so I'll be moving straight on to that one.

I started it last night so I am maybe an hour in. Definitely not enough for me to give too much of an opinion on it.

Really enjoying it so far though. Very clever mechanics and I welcome this art style as a huge fan of the Links Awakening remake.

The noises the characters make really remind me of Wind Waker which is a good thing.

I have played another chunk of this now.

Its really, really brilliant. I already thought it was a great game but the different abilities learned in the first dungeon take it up a couple of notches. Very satisfying stuff.

Galacticare

Wholly derivative from top to bottom. It's Two Point Hospital in space and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The gameplay isn't as fun or charming, it's crammed with talking and as early as the very first stage it became "place two of each room and the game plays itself".

The most original thing about the game is that the character I thought was voiced by Matt Berry in a rare voice acting role for him, is in fact just some other bloke doing a Matt Berry impression.

If you've played Theme Hospital and Two Point to death and want something exactly like them to fill a void then this is on Gamepass. If you just want to play that genre though or aren't sick of them then go play one of those instead, this isn't as good.

Could do with some guidance on SF6..

Have been practicing and playing some ranked matches with Guile and am really enjoying the way he plays. It's simple enough that I don't have too much to think about but fun. I am finding now that I am not sure what to do to capitalise on a knockdown or having the opponent in the corner. How to l do I keep the pressure on? Generically I suppose, rather than specific to Guile. But it's an improvement opportunity I have identified.

I gave up on Spelunky. I stuck a good few hours into it and couldn't clear the first set of levels. It's just unnecessarily difficult. I wouldn't class it with something like Super Meat Boy as I don't think that game is 'unfair' so much, but Spelunky is. Knackers to it.

Played a lot of Hotline Miami. That mask where dogs don't attack you is a godsend. I bloody love it.

Tried Downwell. It's alright but I'm already getting frustrated with it.

I'm getting a lot better at Rayman Origins and I'm enjoying the speedrunning replays of levels, so I've been going back through previous levels. Cracking game.

Been playing Peggle 2 with the kids, @Devon Malcolm , and thought of you!

Anyone know if there's a decent modern bust a move / puzzle bobble clone that isn't crammed with micro transactions and ads? PS / mobile / ipad / pc platforms all welcome.

I’d highly recommend Rayman Legends if you haven’t played it, it’s even better. I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the best 2D platformers ever, but for some reason it’s frequently overlooked.

I felt exactly the same about Spelunky, I didn’t enjoy it at all.

I finished the first Spelunky but it was a chore and mostly luck to do so. I also played it on it's original release on 360 so at that point the genre was fairly fresh so I was more forgiving with it. I tried Spelunky 2 and got fed up straight away.

A: sonic boom on wakeup along with Roundhouse sweep, or time a jump kick to connect at the same time, while recharging your next.

B: stand stock still an arm's length from the body. Do his Fierce backfist as they rise.

? crouch just in front of the prone body and fire out dozens of crouching Shorts. Stop just as they wakeup, blocking. They will have started to retaliate, punish.

? sonic boom, knee hop Forward, throw.

I got that for £1.29 in the summer sale, I'll be playing it right after Origins.

Just finished Astrobot and now I’m a bit sad. It was such a fun joyful games (even if some the side missions were annoyingly difficult) and now it’s over.

Think I read they added the soundtrack to Spotify if you're having withdrawals ?

The mask where you can kill people by hitting them with doors saved my arse a ridiculous amount of times.
