Talking about dickheads in boxing a video popped up in my YouTube recommendations about the Pacquiao vs Margarito fight and how ugly the build up was with Margarito laughing at and imitating Freddie Roach's Parkinson's disease on video.

 

The video is very YouTube OTT but its worth it for Manny saying to Antonio, after he is claiming he had no clue his wraps were being loaded in the past. "We will have a great fight and give the people what they want" whilst smiling at him at 4.25 min, and you can see from his whole face he is actually going "I am going to fuck you up and I'm going to enjoy it".

 

 

It led me to rewatch the whole fight which is on YouTube too. Still one of the best ass kicking's in boxing history. Manny was getting to the end of his prime at this point but he still had plenty enough to beat the shit of Margarito, whilst looking two weight divisions smaller than him.

It only dawned on me yesterday that Pacquiao/Barrios is next Saturday! that's snuck up quickly.

I just watched the whole of this fight on YouTube for a lazy Saturday afternoon treat. The HBO version has all the post fight interviews too. That bit in your gif is classic and Cotto does a great interview, popping the huge Puerto Rican contingent. When asked by Kellerman what he now thinks of Margarito and your expecting the usual post fight we are now ok bollocks. Instead he goes " He means nothing to me" and the crowd love it.

Kellerman made me laugh too by asking Margarito "In the first fight from around the 6th and 7th rounds your punches seemed to be doing a ton of damage. That was not the case tonight. Why is that ?".

Call me a cynical twat but they’re probably  about to hike the subscription price up. I don’t trust the Bernard Matthews Turki Drummer one bit. ‘We said no more Pay-Per-View. We didn’t say anything about Pay-Per-Month. And you’ll be doing just that as we double the monthly fee’.

Me and Turki are on a whole other wave length when it comes to boxing. 

Just generally, I hate what sport is becoming.

Basically spreading the PPV cost across the year then. I'd imagine they scrambled to put that statement together after Turki jumped the gun with his announcement.

They need to work out what 'free' means. It's not free if it's included in an annual plan.

I'd have no issue if they just added it to the existing plan, but they are gonna add a seperate tier. So to have a DAZN/Ring sub is probably gonna cost about £30 a month, so the cost of the PPV's is basically being spread over the cost of the year.

this can surely come as no surprise. Dubois seemed to have the hump with Don Charles in the build up to the last fight. What he really needs though is to sack his dad off.
