Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 16, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2020 I’ve always thought he seems the type who’d do well with a podcast. To be honest, it’s usually been his interviews I’ve enjoyed more than his fights over the last few years. Get him on a podcast with a different guest each time and I think it’s a winner. If fucking Brendan Schaub can make coin doing it then surely there’s a place for a much more likeable and less thick version on the Boxing side like Dave Allen.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 16, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2020 he was doing a podcast, he had his own for a short time, then he started to do the Boxing Social podcast. It starts and stops all the time though.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 16, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2020 Did he? Completely missed that. Maybe he’ll pick it back up now. Although I won’t be surprised if he’s announced as fighting again within 3 months either.

kamicazze
What a fight this is. Has me excited for a fight like no other this year. Canelo stepping up and facing THE man at 168. True greatness awaits Canelo if he wins this. Superstardom awaits Smith if he wins. Canelo's level opponents are up there with anyone to ever be in the sport. Since 2010 he's had Lovemore N'dou, Carlos Baldomir, Kermit Cintron, Shane Mosley, Austin Trout, Floyd Mayweather, Eirslandy Lara, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan, JC Chavez Jr, GGG, Daniel Jacobs & Sergey Kovalev. That's 13 world Champions, along with opponents like Alfredo Angulo, Ryan Rhodes, Matt Hatton, James Kirkland. It's quite a run. What's interesting is Canelo has long been criticised for clauses, weight manipulation whilst under golden boy whereas the moment he's out of contract he fights at 168 vs the main man at 168. Smith didn't look great last time out vs Ryder. Had some inactivity though he's been in the gym and is an absolute monster for the weight.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 18, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 18, 2020 Won't be getting a Tyson Fury fight this year after all. Gonna be in Amercia in early '21. Instead we get this on Dec 5th: cracking fight

Gooner
That was such a fantastic 22:10 minutes of listening I am going to start all over again from the beginning. i can't wait for the fight, I'm still undecided who wins and not on PPV, added bonus.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 20, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 20, 2020 I tend to agree with the general consesus that that early doors its all about if Joyce can avoid or take Dubois power, but if it goes late Joyce may take over.

kamicazze
Blimey Oscar. It's been 12 years since you're last fight. Your chin will be diminished as will everything else. Let it go. I don't begrudge GGG the payday though
David
It's sad to see, as De La Hoya was always one of my favourite fighters. The guy had it all. The charisma, the movie star looks, the ability. And he's managed to flush it all down the fucking toilet.
