kamicazze
Interestingly Frank Warren/Queensberry have had a bit of an overhaul in the backroom. So my old boxing manager Jason Mcclory will no longer be doing the matchmaking. The did a WWE and wished him well in future endeavours. Though it could just be Jasons health that's prompted the decision. He will be replaced by a 4 man team of Steve Furness, Errol Johnson and Neil Bowers along with Rick Glaser overseeing international affairs. Neil was the matchroom matchmaker for years, Errol and steve have done shows up and down the country for other promoters so should work out well. jimufctna24
Eddie Hearn has tested positive for COVID-19. All of the boxers on this weekend's card have tested negative.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 6, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2020 It’s going to be on normal BT Sport as well. No PPV. Pleasantly surprised at that.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 6, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 6, 2020 considering the show was put off a couple of times due to not being able to get a crowd in im genuinely shocked this isnt going to PPV. It was going to be a PPV with a crowd so im quite not sure how they've wangled this.

Paid Members Carbomb Posted October 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2020 Was a trilogy fight with Wilder ever a thing? Depending on how you look at it, there's still no reason to have one. In statistical terms, they're 1-0-1 in Fury's favour. And if you take the harder view of how the fights actually went, surely it'd be considered 2-0 to Fury?
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2020 The only reason it was happening was because it was written into the contract before the second fight, I think. I’m sure Team Wilder had a rematch clause. Nobody needs to see it. Fury spanked him for all but about 30 seconds they were in the ring together. And that’s both fights combined. AJ is surely the only fight Fury is arsed about now.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 12, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 12, 2020 It was on as long as Wilder wanted it because a rematch was written into the contract. If Wilder had won Fury would also have been entitled to a 3rd fight. Im not sure if there's a deadline written though of when it must happen by. Wilder has been weirdly quiet all year.
