Merzbow 3,306
Merzbow's here to ruin the thread. Where the hell do I start with electronic music? I listen to a lot, from Darkwave to Dungeon Synth to Breakbeat Hardcore to Power Electronics and countless subgenres inbetween. Some current obsessions include: Â

Some excellent tracks in here. From Kraftwerk to Human League to Leftfield to Jamie xx.  Edited January 23, 2020 by PunkStep
Merzbow 3,306
I really held back from going full Merzbow.. I could have posted ear shattering, hyper, noise pop. Â
Paid Members jazzygeofferz 2,361 Posted January 23, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted January 23, 2020 Just discovered this little gem. SebastiAn's remixes are pretty special, and this is a nice Beasties remix.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm 14,238 Posted January 25, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted January 25, 2020 I absolutely love Georgia and About Work the Dancefloor is my favourite thing of anything right now. Â
wordsfromlee 3,231
SOPHIE is probably the most exciting electronic producer around at the moment. Her album from 2018 is absolutely phenomenal. Really enjoyed the production work she did for Let's Eat Grandma too. Â
Merzbow 3,306
SOPHIE's amazing, last years remix album is as good as anything else released and takes some nice ambient/experimental directions.
Paid Members jazzygeofferz 2,361 Posted January 25, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted January 25, 2020 (edited) Listened to SebastiAn's latest today. It's got that kind of American "EDM" pop sound to it, but with some of the little noises and breaks that he likes to use. This is my favourite track from it: That's Sparks, in case you couldn't quite place the voice. Going to check out some SOPHIE now. Sounds interesting. Awards Moderator Onyx2 5,144 Posted February 3, 2020 Awards Moderator Report Share Posted February 3, 2020 I will watch the film at some point, I'm just not in the mood for it just yet but Spotify just put this Uncut Gems track in my ears and it's triffic. Very Jarre.

I’m a big fan of his release ‘Zones Without People’. His album ‘Garden of Delete’ is great too.
Paid Members mim731 1,367 Posted February 3, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted February 3, 2020 Bit of an odd one (I don't think anyone has mentioned it as yet, apologies if I have missed it) but Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit fame released an incredible electronic, mostly instrumental album a few years ago called Crystal Machete. Don't be put off by the artist, it is unlike anything he has ever done for his day job. An incredible, expansive offering. Â
Paid Members Devon Malcolm 14,238 Posted February 6, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted February 6, 2020 The entire soundtrack to Under the Skin by Mica Levi is stunning (as is the film). Â
wordsfromlee 3,231
As is her sound track to Monos

wordsfromlee 3,231
The new Squarepusher album is peak Squarepusher. Absolutely mental. Absolutely brilliant.
