Like you say, it's the fact that these massive corporations are so fucking naive that makes it funny. You struggle to imagine how the idea could possibly get all the way from conception to implementation without at least one person along the line saying something about how it really didn't go well when companies X, Y and Z tried it. That’s the thing mate, although it opens up a massive can of worms, they know exactly what they’re doing. It’s publicity. They could run a basic ad campaign without public interaction and it would last a week or so before Nike knock one out etc. They are reaching a bigger audience than just their usual core. This will blow up because of the controversy. It’s clicks and interaction. They’ll happily put a fire out later if it means 0000’s more click the link. Oh, and yeah Tourette’s wins. John’s not Mad, and then the doc about the blokes who go to a Tourette’s camp and stop off at a fishing tackle shop on the way is magic. SuperBacon
Clearly not meant to laugh at this as this young girl saw someone get shot. But still...
Max Power
I saw 22 Jump Street on my way on holiday last October. A night flight. I'd had a few beers fancied watching some light hearted entertainment/shite so I banged it on having never watched it before. Anyway, the bit when Ice Cube is revealed to be whatsernames Dad i absolutely pissed myself. Ridiculously loud guffaw. All the blinds were down. People were trying to sleep. The wife gave me a right bollocking but I couldn't help it. Tears streaming down my face. It's just the look he gives. I've watched it since and I can't say it's a cinematic masterpiece. But that one moment floored me.

Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 3, 2019 It was an inappropriate laugh not because of the content of what he laughed at but because he suddenly burst out laughing on a quiet aeroplane at night. 😩

Ah well. It wasn't the scene in the film per se, but rather the silence of the flight punctuated by my thigh slapping tomfoolery. Be reight. On Cinema At The Cinema paid tribute to it at this year's Oscar special. Someone who was made comatose the previous Oscar special was stood up on a turntable painted orange as the living Oscer. wordsfromlee
I hope this isn't taking it too far and I am in no way trying to glorify it, but I always feel awful for chuckling at this:

Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted July 5, 2019 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2019 I was in hysterics at that; I've watched it twice now. That guy has done a lot of "research", hasn't he?
Mr_Danger
My son reached in to his nappy and had a little nibble on some poo poo yesterday. He definitely didn't enjoy it but I'm still worried he might have caught the gay.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted July 8, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted July 8, 2019 This clip of a 102 year old runner. It's doing the rounds on social media as a feel-good inspirational thing, but I was howling at him hobbling into shot at 0:35.
