Paid Members BigJag Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 Garlic Roule is another good one. A soft chess with garlic and herbs. Boursin is essentially the same. When watching Triple D and the like. They'll mention a cheese called Fontina. I've never managed to find it. Does anyone have any experience with it and care to share it's qualities? The picture @Kaz Hayashi posted on the previous page of that glorious bacon-wrapped roast he did, he mentioned the second time he did it, he tried Fontina.
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 What's the story with Quark? Saw our Gill in work in the kitchen at lunch mixing it in with smashed avocado and various other sources of roughage. It looks like slightly less runny Yop. It surely can't be cheese. Type of cottage cheese (vomit) isn't it?
Merzbow
It's a bit like cream cheese but lesser, It became a bit of a diet fad. Only good for using as a cheesecake ingredient.
Mr_Danger
Quark is shit in all its various guises. I like cottage cheese but Quark isn't even at that (low) level of cheeseyness.

You can get it here though: http://www.vorrei.co.uk/Italian-Cheese/Fontina-DOP.Html#.W46huqTTXYU
Paid Members Carbomb Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 Another one: mascarpone. Mix with a little hazelnut or almond syrup, chuck in some chocolate chips, and you have a delicious dessert.
Mr_Danger
I'll tell you what, my mam used to give me those little bars of cheddar you'd get in multipacks with cut up slices of apple. I'm not a great lover of fruit in food but I still occasionally go back to that.
Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 The squares in lunchables were a bit special. In that they tasted more like the meat than the meat did.
Slapnut
Black Bomber by the Snowdonia Cheese Company is probably the nicest cheese I’ve ever tasted. Proper nice extra mature cheddar. I’ve been known to devour an entire wheel of brie in one sitting on a number of occasions. Who else goes for a cheeseboard rather than a pudding for dessert? Paid Members PunkStep Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 I won't die happy until I get my hands on one of these: Â I love Red Leicester as an everyday cheese. Wensleydale & cranberries is also bloody lovely. And, of course, any kind of smoked cheese.

Paid Members PunkStep Posted September 4, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2018 That's Jerry Horne's smoked cheese pig, of course.
Rey_Piste
It's been so long since I've watched Twin Peaks, I had forgot all about that.
