It’s really nice, and that haggis spices work surprisingly well with the chocolate. The Chocolate Tree are a great little company, when I lived near Edinburgh I’d visit their stall at the farmers’ market there every week to stock up. Some of my favourites… Tastes like a Nutella chocolate bar, it’s really lovely whether you’re dairy free or otherwise (clearly I’m not). They also do a hazelnut and coffee version which I’ve not tried as I hate coffee, but a pal of mine who feels differently told me that it’s exceptional. A really tasty dark - it tastes kind of fruity, and there’s very little bitterness to it. Probably my favourite dark chocolate variety, it’s really nice. Another lovely dairy free option. I’m not a fan of coconut generally, but this is very creamy, and basically melts in your hands when you open the foil around it. It’s very tasty. They also do a rum and coconut version, which I’m yet to try. Their ginger and their whisky chocolate bars are also lovely. You can buy them on their online shop, or if you’re in Edinburgh, they used to frequent the farmers’ market there with free samples of pretty much everything if you’re unsure. I’m not sure if they still go there, though. They also used to have a shop, which I believe is now closed. But, erm, in summary…yeah, try the haggis chocolate. Quote

It’s very slight, it I’d hazard a guess and say if you were served it up without knowing there was coconut in it, you’d probably not notice. I don’t like coconut in sweet dishes though, and I really enjoy that - probably more so than the hazelnut bar. Quote

Paid Members BigJag Posted March 13 Paid Members Posted March 13 Easter Eggs! Back in the good old 80s and 90s. We could buy fantastic Easter Egg packs. The Double chocolate bar pack with a ginormous eater egg was always a thing of wonder. We also had the genius idea of packing a themed mug with the chocolate egg. That particular style of presentation seems to have been cancelled and we are lucky to receive a tasteless egg and maybe a bag of Smarties. Are there any ott Easter Eggs anymore? Quote
