WyattSheepMask
If he was the next person on the list it wouldn't matter because whoever was before him in the queue for the gig. I just like the idea that they try ringing once and if he didn't answer they just move onto the next person Edited December 13, 2016 by WyattSheepMask
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2016 Speaking of Rick Rude's cock, as I often do, I just can't believe that one Ian. Just in terms of Occam's Razor, injecting your willy with so much Viaga that it gets mouldy and falls off is surely less likely than popping clogs from massive, drug related, coronary. I dont know if it's true either, but there's people absolutely convinced its true who heard it in 1999. Not word for word what Honky said, but a version of it. Like he injected something into his cock and it got infected and they were going to have to remove it, so he took a GHB overdose. He never shot himself like Honky Tonk said.  Matt Farmer who does the MLW podcasts and stuff said this on WrestlingClassics. This is definitely not the first time I've heard that story. And not the only guy that I've heard to have done that, in fact I know of a few others that would be associated with Rude who were his running mates. And also no longer with us to have done the same thing. When I first heard about it was in 1999. I asked one of the "boys" who was big into the bodybuilding and escort business. And his quick response was that he did the same thing.  Rude was very well know for injecting large quantities of everything into his body.  Edited December 13, 2016 by IANdrewDiceClay

Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Ian, is there any chance at all of Meltzer answering a question about Rick Rude's nob on the Observer Mailbag show? I'd actually sign back up to ask that. Because Lord knows the grungiest and grimiest corners of wrestling are all that interests me now. I didn't even watch WrestleMania this year and yet I must know the inside scoop on whether some blokes dick fell off in the late 90's. Â My initial reaction is no, he wouldn't. But then again, he did almost go into the Randy Savage and Stephanie McMahon story once with his amazing "OLIVER KNOWS" explanation. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted December 13, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Meltzer said it wasnt true on his message board, so that's as close as he's came to answering it. But Meltzer's reasoning it wasnt true was Honky's thing about "he shot himself when his dick fell off", which obviously isnt true. But the popular theory (which nobody will ever know the truth to) is that he killed himself because of the the willy, instead of accidently ODing while training for a comeback. Its such a mental story, though. Where would this story have even come from? Edited December 13, 2016 by IANdrewDiceClay
Paid Members chokeout Posted December 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2016 Honky and Jake have been peddling that story for years, easily since 99/2000. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it started from one of them based on Chinese whispers. For what it's worth meltzer reported that the autopsy said he died from heart failure and a mixture of drugs. The thinking at the time was that it was an OD of GHB which people assumed he was hammering for a comeback. Â Saying that I don't think 'dick exploded' is an officially way of concluding an autopsy. Paid Members WWFChilli Posted December 13, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2016 Wasn't Rick absolutely massive in early 1999 allegedly. Like he packed on a fuck ton of muscle on his frame really quick.

Guest
It's the entire autopsy for Dick Dastardly after Muttley's attempts to earn a medal went awry.

I imagine that someone may have read the post Ian alluded to and then told Jake or Honky, who then told RF, who then... etc. Those two prize plumbs are/were unlikely to be hiring Rex Banner back in the early 2000's to dig into whether or not it's complete twoddle before spluttering it out on some shoot interview. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted December 14, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 14, 2016 Given what we know of Rex Banner's detective work I don't think they'd have discovered much if he had been on the case.
