Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 30, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 30, 2015 I don't know if it will be Russia, a random terrorist or NK losing their mind and fucking us all over, but I feel as though we haven't got long left. Has anyone else felt like this? Like, we don't have very much choice in the future. And I read the other day that Russian bombers are probing UK airspace. I don't know why. But if I was them, it would be to see where the weak spots are when I wanted to actually take us out! Is it only me that's worried? Â Russian bombers getting to within 25 miles of the UK mainland, it's worrying.

Paid Members WWFChilli Posted January 31, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 The world as WE know it?
Steve Justice Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I've felt like we're on the brink of a major disaster for the last year or so. Whether it be natural or something like riot is saying, but earth needs a good shake up and get its shit together.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 Have you been knocking back the Nytol again?I would be unable to type if this was the case. Just when I hear of RAF fighter jets having to escort Russian bomber planes out of the airspace of the place were I live, I get a little worried.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted January 31, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 Why would the Russians bomb the UK?
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 31, 2015 Author Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 I'm not saying that they're about to. But they are obviously doing something. Be it probing the defences of a key NATO member or whatever. It's still worrying. The fact they can get a bomber to within 25 miles of the UK before we did anything about it is worrying to me. Â Russia is not an ally. Putin isn't your standard crazy dictator, easy to mock and short on much he can do to the West. He is demonstratsbly power hungry and not worried about sending Russian troops into disputed areas to increase territory. Not to mention nuclear warhead rich.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted January 31, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 Russian bombers getting to within 25 miles of the UK mainland, it's worrying.  Russian submarines have already been here. They've been 100% seen near the Nukes at Faslane. Sweden is worried because the Russians seem to be "casing their joint" as well. It really is worrying times. What the feck are the Russians up to? As you said, they've been flying over us too. I definately don't think the world is ending, but I'd like to know what the end game with this carry-on is.
King Coconut Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Russia likes to show us how big their dick is now and again. They've been doing it for at least 70 years. It's their thing.
Mr_Danger Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I just hope that when it does kick off we don't decide to settle it PM vs PM. Putin would slaughter Dave Cameron and Milliband would fare even less well. This is where we need Labour and Torries to settle differences and agree that Big John P would be the best choice of champion, he's like the real life Mountain.
Paid Members quote the raven Posted January 31, 2015 Paid Members Posted January 31, 2015 Russia like strutting around just to prove they are still a world power. However the sanctions and the fall in oil prices means they are struggling to keep their heads above water. Â In terms of doomsday unless Is get their hands on some nukes I'd say we are safer now than during the Cold War or the ira hay days.
Undefeated Steak Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I think we're overdue another great war or natural disaster and we'll see one or the other within the next 20 years. I also think there'll be a one currency, one language, one leadership world within the next century or so. The problem is that you'll have countries like Russia, China, America and Korea wanting to do things on their terms. Europe (excluding Russia) will get shafted. Britain will willingly pull our pants down and pretend we're enjoying it.  There'll also be a *massive* shake-up to the internet soon. It's like the wild west on here and the lizards don't like dat shit.  Source: Reptile part of brain.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted January 31, 2015 Moderators Posted January 31, 2015 Where I live is a mixture of rural with massive great (now closed) chemical plant in the middle. Monsanto it was, then Flexsys. Anyway, it used to have an air raid siren test every Monday at 2:15pm and we'd all get flyers in what to do if it exploded as it'd take out about 20 miles. As a child this worried me but my dad, in a misguided effort to calm me about the situation, told me that "we're all just grains of sand, and anyway, if it did blow up you wouldn't know, it'd be the middle of the night, BOOM, and we'll all be dead instantly so you'd not realise anyway". This instead had the effect of making sure I got no sleep for about a week. Cheers dad.
patiirc Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The Russian's buzzing things is not new been doing it for years. As for end of the world, most probably come from North Korea, Pakistan, Israel as one of them decides to use nukes and that will be that. Lived near Fairford in the midst of the Cold War had nuclear drills at School, now up by BAE in Lancashire. Basically have no sodding chance if bombs drop. Â If you are feeling particularly morbid there's an online thing that lets you map out how nukes would play out over the Uk here. Â Nuclear Bomb Map
