I haven't used it in a while but I always found it a bit of a shit app to use. Just wondered if they'd made any changes or improvements. Not huge changes. They have the events in order, decades plus each title history w the defenses in order. Quote
KingofSports Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 G1 this year runs from 19th Sep. - 18th Oct: https://www.njpw1972.com/78480 Quote
KingofSports Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) This looks slightly more promising, in terms of the card. I think the last time they held an outdoor show at Jingu, Hashimoto vs. Chono was the main event: https://www.njpw1972.com/tornament/77858?showCards=1 Edited August 10, 2020 by KingofSports Quote

Everyone else is either tied up in other matches or lives in America. Did you not realise this? Quote

I've done more interesting shits....and no, I don't make mental notes of everyone's schedules, but it was clearly the dregs of whatever was left over. Quote

Look forward to some stipulation matches though. Something a bit different in njpw. Loved the Archer v mox match at WK. Quote

I think it’s just a trophy, I remember Okada saying in the announcement for the tournament that it will only be defended once a year at Wrestle Kingdom or something along those lines. Quote

It’s effectively WWE’s championship scramble match stretched out to a calendar year. The winner on the 29th August is the provisional KOPW champ, there’s apparently going to be title matches throughout the year and then at the end of the year, the ‘champion’ is declared 2020 KOPW and gets a trophy with the entire thing resetting for 2021. mikey Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 This will go the way of the u-30 championship. Or Okada becomes a lucha brawler. Quote
Guest Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Gives Okada something to do away from the main title. Given the fun he had wearing long trousers and the pop he got for wearing shorts, willing to let it run out before instantly dismissing Quote
The King Of Swing Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 So both New Japan and Stardom have now had to cancel shows at the last minute. https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2020/08/njpw-provides-update-on-covid-19-test-after-wrestler-673524/ https://411mania.com/wrestling/stardom-cancels-show-roster-member-positive-covid-19/ Originally it was reported that a Stardom wrestler had a fever but the above is now saying tested positive. Running shows is risky enough but imo it's madness to actually be touring. Stardom in particular are bonkers to be running their GP under current circumstances. Quote
Only_The_Strong_Survive Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Is Strong worth a watch? ive been looking to get into NJPW for regular viewing but normally there schedule is all over the place. What would be the best way to watch and what are “must see” events Quote
