The third and final wave, chaps. I've been umming and ahhing about keeping in "best wrestling TV show" because there are so few from which to choose but I suppose there might be some mileage, so we'll see.

- Best event

- Worst event

- Best wrestling TV show

- Best promo (meaning individual instance of a promo ["Kelly Kiniski's killer promo before a match with Mosca and Koloff"] rather than the name of an individual whom you consider the best regular deliverer of promos)

- Best DVD/documentary (can encompass things put out by TV companies too, such as the documentary on the Knight family and the recent one on British Wrestling's heyday)

That's fine, Pat. I'm perfectly happy for people to edit their posts as they go, since I won't start counting until the threads have been locked. My own nominations in Paid are works in progress and get edited when something else springs to mind.

I'm pleased with some of the nominations so far in here. I thought that the DVD category might tank and yet there have been some nominations that I hadn't thought of. Similarly, I thought everybody would simply cite Raw for television show out of habit, even though it's diabolical, so it's refreshing to see NXT and Impact on lists.

The inclusion of best promo here means I may have to change some noms for best performance in the other wave. For now these are the nominations I shall give:

Best Promo:

John Cenas glorious promo opposing CM Punk with Bret lingering in the background. The one where he says Punk changes his colours constantly and doesn't know who he is, he drapes himself in the colours of legends (wearing Bret homage attire at the time) and mentioned that the only significant thing he ever did with the WWE title was blow Vince a kiss and walk out. It was a terrific destruction and like all the best promos it was laced in truth. Whether he does or not I believed John meant the message he was giving Punk and I believed that deep down Punk knew he was right and it tears him up inside. This for me is far and away the strongest promo of the year. It was also full of little nods to their precious years issues, as their whole feud was and I really enjoyed those aspects of it, which leads me to my next nomination...

Big Shows 'PIPE BOMB' promo - Interstingly another destruction of CM Punk promo. Might be something in that. Again, full of great referencing to CM Punks big summer angle of 2011 and it was all believable and logical and actually followed some continuity for once. It's great when that happens. It was this fantastic promo which really instigated Punks turn and set those wheels really in motion.

Bray Wyatts 'White Trash' promo - Husky Harris becomes Bray Wyatt with a fantastically performed promo. This promo had me desperate for more from this new personality.

Honourable mention to Danny Bry at Raw 1000 with The Rock. Would have loved his premonition to have come true and Bryan be defending his belt against The Rock.
