From what I can tell, it's only really stemmed from an interview where talking about the night portering, he said he wasn't one. The logic being that he told Louis Theroux that he wasn't a paedophile, and it turned out he was, he must therefore be a necrophile.  He said the press was equally to blame and claimed a reporter was heard talking at a wedding 10 years ago about Savile being a necrophiliac. So Jimmy was so feared that nobody would say anything, but at the same time would speak openly about him at weddings?  He said: "The expression I came to associate with Savile's sexual partners was either one used by production assistants or one I made up to summarise their reports ... 'under-age subnormals'. "He targeted the institutionalised, the hospitalised - and this was known. Why did Jimmy go to hospitals? That's where the patients were." It was known that he went for the local beauty queens and the "dolly birds", or failing that, pretty much anything with tits and a pulse.  But he said these things were taking place at a time when staff failed to get to grips with the concept of paedophilia. "It was considered so far beyond the pale that people didn't believe it happened," he said during the 5 Live Breakfast Show. Tosh. In the 1980s people couldn't understand the concept of paedophilia? It's not like Queen Victoria and lesbianism.  It's almost as if nothing he's been accused of so far is evil enough, and there has to be something even worse yet to come out. He was fucking underage girls. Then he was fucking underage girls and boys. Then he was fucking mentally ill and hospitalised underage girls and boy. Now he's fucking the corpses of underage girls and boys.  It's almost as if they keep throwing fresh dirt at Savile, they won't look to those around him. In June 2012, he became the civil partner of Christopher Sherwood following a ceremony in Oxfordshire. Are you saying people who are gay or people living with someone/married can't be a nonce? I'm not saying that at all, brah. Seemed an odd thing to mention as a defense against allegations, is all.  EDIT - The Necro thing also stems from him having a key to the mortuary in hospitals.
