rand3ll
Again! Never said Orton wins every match, he just never seems to come out of a feud looking beaten, a feud can't end and then have the two people who were feuding fight again straight after, that just continues the feud. Orton never lost THE FEUD cleanly, despite losing a few matches cleanly.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted March 2, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 2, 2012 Wrestling isn't EWR. You don't have to end a feud completely cleanly for it to be a success. Did Mark Henry come out of it elevated after winning pretty much every match and making him pretty much the winner of the programme? Yes! Orton came out of it still looking good? Yes! Mark Henry looking like a killer and top threat? Yes! Potential upward mobility for Cody? Yes! Â Total victory for the Orton vs Henry feud which he didn't dominate which is at odds with your previous statement that Orton dominates every feud. moofasa
Can't help but think Shaq is planned to be involved in the outcome of the main event hence the confusion. The Miami link between Shaq and Rock. He could cause the upset setting up the rematch. Imagine Shaq and Rock together arms raised in Miami cheating Cena out of his victory for wrestlers. Fans in Miami aren't going to care if Rock wins as a heel. Â This is a massive match and needs a controversial ending to keep Cena strong enough and for Rock to have a reason to come back. Shaq says he's going to be there, WWE very quick to deny it. Big show must be working with Cody. Who else would he face? Maybe just an appearance of some sort. At Survivor Series 2007 he was more over than any of the wrestling. If he attends this, he will be involved. He would add spice to the finish. Paid Members Up Chuck Posted March 2, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 2, 2012 Gotta think what that sets up though - Cena wanting revenge on Rock (fine, WM29 sorted), but also on Shaq. And if Shaq was going to wrestle, he'd be doing it at Wrestlemania, which he isn't. Maybe he'll get involved somewhere, but he won't be anywhere near Cena/Rock. Paid Members Foale Posted March 2, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 2, 2012 Fuck Shaq, he can fuck off. Him being anywhere near the main event is pointless and ludicrous.

andrew "the ref" coyne
Mark Henry feud? Â You mean the feud that ended when Rhodes interfered in one of their matches, thus leading to a new feud with Orton not actually losing the feud cleanly to Henry. Â Yeah... Now your just making stuff up. Orton lost the feud decisively to Henry and he never really won his feud vs. Barrett (it kind of just ticked along). Â Frankly your in the minority here, most people here will agree that they handled Orton well this year on the most part. Â - Decent feud vs Christian full of excellent performances. - Kept him strong in a series of fueds vs Rhodes and Barrett. - Used him VERY effectively to put Henry over like a fucking monster, *twice*, clean. - Pulled him down the card to give the likes of Henry, Show and Bryan breathing room. Â I mean how would you handle him? Lose to everyone until his worth as a character zero?
Paid Members PunkStep Posted March 3, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 3, 2012 Unlike many on here, I've never bought Christian as World Champion pedigree. Yet Randy Orton done a great job in helping elevate Christian to heights he had previously not come close to last summer. Whether Orton ended up winning the feud or not, Christian still came out of it looking better than ever. Menry was really coming along nicely and Orton put on the finishing touches, putting him over clean in two straight PPVs in World title matches. He gave Barrett, who was wandering aimlessly around the mid-card since the Corre split, a rub that helped elevate his status. He had a decent feud with Cody which helped both look good at the end of it- and of course he wasn't going to lose the feud to Cody as he was current IC champion and Orton is World Champion calibre. Â You mention that Orton usually wins his feuds- he's supposed to. If he lost all of his feuds, he would lose all credibility as a top star, thus losing the ability to elevate other wrestlers by being involved in a programme with them. Had Orton not been a mutli-time WWE/World champion, headlining Wrestlemania's, won many feuds over the years, then the guys he feuded with last year wouldn't have come out the end of those feuds anywhere near as good as they did. Â This is how it works. You protect your top, top faces and then when they do drop to someone else, it means so much more. Why on earth would you want Cena or Orton losing feuds left, right and centre? It's insanity.
