They've got plenty of time to lay the groundwork. As great as Show and Henry are these days, Bryan getting over and making his storylines great hasn't relied on them at all. By the time the show rolls around, they'll have built the match up just fine.

World Heavyweight Title 4-Way Elimination Match:-

Daniel Bryan vs The Big Show vs Mark Henry vs Randy Orton (Royal Rumble Winner)

(Henry gets eliminated first, Show second for an exciting Bryan vs Orton final stretch).

I wish they could have done that. Not only are 4 way matches a whole heap of fun, but it would have been a great way to end those feuds and tie up all the loose ends, as I feel Henry, Big Show and Orton all can claim they need a rematch after everything that happened with them and Bryan. At the moment I'm just not interested in Bryan vs Sheamus, the best thing was when Bryan spat in his face on Smackdown, but that was before Sheamus had made his decision.

they really could have just let Jericho win the Rumble instead of trying to swerve the fans. it just would have made sense. Just because everyone expected him to win, doesn't mean it would have been bad. The Smackdown Chamber could have had shenanigans in it with Bryan controversially retaining. Heck Sheamus could have won it or something seeing as he was all over the marketing of it.

On the plus side, the 4 announced matches should all be cracking from an in-ring standpoint.

Regarding Bryan/Sheamus, I feel a lot of that has had to do with Mark Henry's injury. I'm not so certain that Sheamus wasn't pencilled in to win the Rumble anyway and go on to take on Big Mark at WM, but the injury led to plans changing and the fairly fantastic Bryan heel run which, whilst completely different to the previous title run, still gives the fan that 'go on Sheamus, kick his head off' feeling. I just hope they can sustain it and don't add any unnecessary twists and turns - whilst the story could do with more drama, anything daft might spoil it. It's not like it's going to be a major focus anyway, is it?

So... Byan/Sheamus is definitely going to be the opener, right?

Judging by last year's structure I'd guess so. It makes perfect sense to have a high profile match as the opener but having the Royal Rumble winner jerk the curtain jars me a bit.
