Paid Members JNLister Posted November 5, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted November 5, 2013 Ooh, same thing happened but this time with Franklin and Michael and I got the "hang out?" option. Not only did "I" go off for a beer with Michael, but the chat in the car was discussing recent storyline events.
The Gaffer
Some rambling bullet points on what I thought of it : Â <-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler -Chose option C, obviously. Although I have a save state to get to the others later. Â -The last few missions were really, really easy. This has been by a considerable distance the easiest GTA game ever. The last heist was not as multi layered as I would have hoped for and whilst I loved tracking down and killing all your nemesisisis one by one it felt like a reaaaaaally relaxing way to finish out. Boom. FBI guy dead. Boom. Stetch dead. Boom. Devin's off the cliff in the boot. Â -The ending was really cool though. It wasn't as 'final' as the rest of the games endings because they obviously want you to keep playing through the world so it was more like a series finale than a total finale but yeah I really liked it. Â -The main story was the weakest point of the game and one of the weaker stories in the series history. There was no real sense of a great journey from it like you got with San Andreas or even GTA IV. You just kinda reunited with your old buddy, made a new one, and done a handful of heists for some generic, boring as sin government officials. Then you have to get out because you've upset a rogue army called Merryweather who really weren't as expounded on as they could have been. Â -As much as I love Trevor - the fact that he was actually really intellectual and well spoken is what saved him from cartoon psychopath cliche - he kept overshadowing the other two. Every cutscene became Trevor complaining about something. Every car ride with him was a nightmare of nattering. It got too much. Had option C not existed he would have gotten the bullet. Â -Michael's probably the best. The family dynamic was one of the most interesting parts of the game. It felt nice for a change driving around GTA as a kind of naff dad. Â -Franklin exists to do side missions with, I guess. He has the green bike every time you spawn as him and he seems happy to be involved in the story I guess. Â -The constant use of mobile phone as Rockstars sort of Windows Service Center at the end of the story got realllly old. This problem's gone away and I'm fine with it now since I'm off free to explore and do whatever but man it grated after awhile. There is a fine line between making sure the player knows they have loads of great diversions to do and you still have that car to pick up and the game sending you texts to go "HEY, REMEMBER WE PUT THIS IN THE GAME TOO! DO IT SOMETIME!". Â -It's an absolutely fantastic game. I raced to finish the story but now that it's done I actually want to keep playing it some more which is great because my attention span is horrific [the exception is Skyrim which I'm still playing. Other games sometimes seem to exist only to remind me that I could be playing Skyrim again, or I should go back to my old save.] Â -I loved doing tear gas drive bys and watching society collapse on the floor when the Alan Parsons Project were playing. Shane O' Mac Version 2
Finally back to playing GTA V after a sabbatical created by uni work. Played for a few days on release then had to cut myself off. Â Funny/weird thing that happened on there last night- After completing a mission as Michael, I flashed over to being Trevor, who was on a beach/island surrounded by dead bodies, in his underwear. I got into the nearby speedboat and drove over to the mainland. I then had to run through some grassy meadows until I ran into some rabid dog that killed me with one tackle. I re-spawned at the hospital, and it turns out I had no main missions, so I had to switch to being Franklin. What was the point in all that, besides making me feel like I was on an acid trip? aaron
Moved up the property ladder. Now living at Richards Majestic, Apt 51 in Rockford Hills That was $253,000 minus $40k for trading in the shithole I was previously at. Â If your not sure which high end apartment to go for, they are all the same bar the view and location. A YouTube vid will show you all the views so you can make your choice easily enough if you feel you need a luxury pad. Â Moving up gave me a second Elergy RH8. It looks a bit different but I can't sell one to LSC. Anyway I won't drive either now... just got a Grotti Carbonizzare for $195k! Â So pretty much done my money. I had about $50k previously, now got about $140k... and about to spend most of it modding my car as much as Grotti! Â

King Pitcos
On the Chop app, his walk meter never fills up now. Do the walk mini-games not count, and I have to take him for a walk in the actual game?

Steve Justice
Remember when stunt jumps were fun? Â Trying to 100% the game, currently on 91.5% and trying to plough my way through all the stunt jumps. I found collecting paper scraps more enjoyable. Steve Justice
Yes. But that annoyed me. This GTA seems more focused on being entertaining than challenging that I've decided to ignore what they want for 100% and do absolutely everything that's in the game. Doing 50% of the stunt jumps is not 100 percenting the game.
