Paid Members Thunderplex Posted April 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2014 I've often wanted to watch some soft core porn here and there. Stuff like Beverley Hills Bordello was an excellent show. Is there anywhere online that show old softcore porno's the way red tube and the like show hardcore? Â Jus go onto xhamster or the like, and tap in the name of the actress you want I see. Plenty of Shannon Tween, Shannon Whirry, Monique Gabrielle (my favourite) and Beverly Lynn on there. Alex Wright Mark
I was a huge mark for Jacqueline Lovell back in the day. So much so that I would give Raw a miss when one of her movies were on Channel 5. Think I might have a search for Femalien later, which was a big hit with the lads in school back in 2000. Â Teenagers nowadays are spoilt with their easy access to hardcore bongo nowadays. They will never experience the joy of such softcore programmes on Living TV as Passion Cove. Seeing Kira Reed and Samantha Phillips in simulated sex scenes did the trick for me as a lad.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2014 Is softcore dead? at least as a mainstream concern? As a child I went through the stages of watching and masturbating to softcore. From the days of page three, to being caught whistling the theme tune off Emmanuelle, and getting far too excited about a late night viewing of Betty Blue. 1995 brought us the Red Light Zone on Channel 4 Saturday nights, and was probably a bit too educational for this youngster and Channel 4 in 98 or so had the wonderful Sexploitica season on 4Later showing flms like The Curious Dr Humpp to a collection of jizz filled 13 year olds. Also, around this time Channel 5 showed a rich selection of softcore programming taken from the playboy channel like Red Shoes Diaries, Hotline and Compromising Situations as well as the Friday Night Shannon Tweed/Shannon Whirry "erotic thriller" also occasionally showing Pamela Anderson's Naked Souls and Good Cop, Bad Cop. Bravo would also show the softcore serial Beverly Hills Bordello and the film O Lita 3000 on a seemingly fortnightly basis. More fun could be found on the German channels. Vox showing Die Film Erotische every Saturday at midnight, often showing the wonderful Black Emanuelle series of films starring the delectable Indonesian beauty Laura Gemser of Emmanuelle 2 fame (and thankfully not showing the gorefest ones like Emanuelle: Queen of Sados), and RTL II would show edited hardcore in the shape of things like Careless starring Ona Zee edited into Lolita Voll Geil and cutting out shots of penetration. Not to mentions Pro Siebens wanktastic showing of Showgirls at 7:30pm BST one night.  Then of course, 2000 came, and Hardcore was legalised in the UK and instead of paying 40 quid in sex shops for R18s where you couldn't see it going in, it was replaced with R18s where you could. While Channel 4 cut out the hardcore footage from Von Triers The Idiots, they did show penetration along with gay oral in the art film Bodysong. Sky movies would show an erotic film on a Sunday, normally a US Cable edit of a hardcore movie starring Evan Stone and his ilk. So Movies 4 Men was the last bastion of soft focus slap and tickle. However, they started to edit them more and more, seemingly taking out how sex scenes, and now it's on Freeview there's no softcore action on there at all. Which is ashame I reckon.  So, is Softcore dead on UKTV, and is there a place for it? Personally, I reckon there is a hole for it. I'd still watch.Sometimes I just want something a bit less hard.  This is a great post and a thought-provoking one.  There's an episode of South Park about the internet breaking that shows how increasingly perverted Randy's porn searches have gotten to get himself off. I think there's a generation of porn users that have gone that way but I do think that everything comes about circle in the end, even when it comes to porn.  The fact is that softcore doesn't really have a 'place' on TV any more. You can get it all online, but it is different. There's not really any softcore porn as such, even explicit sex scenes in mainstream films are quite regularly hardcore now rather than provoking 'Did they?' debates like Don't Look Now and Wild Orchid provoked. I think if you showed university students these days what they used to show on RTL and Sat-1 back in the mid-1990s they'd piss themselves laughing.  Softcore stuff nowadays has become dominated by eastern European sites all trying to emulate Met-Art and earlier defunct sites like Model Flats. They don't really have movie studios, they tend to just shoot short videos and as such you can't really put it on TV. I don't think we're going to get any more Shannon Tweeds or Whirrys or any more Monique Parents, unfortunately.  That said, I do think there could be a market for this kind of older stuff, a retro grot channel if you would. Quite whether a channel would be prepared to commit itself to that kind of content, whether it was free-to-air or subscription, I don't know. Even internet sites that archive old porn, something that I'm a big advocate of, focus on hardcore stuff.  No-one's saying it's objectively 'good' but I always found it a lot more....helpful, let's say, to get off to than the more aggressive and less suggestive stuff you get in hardcore porn, so I do view it all, like Butch and many others, quite fondly. It's worth saving and resurrecting, but I just don't know if it ever will be.
bono
I remember when my parents got cable installed around summer 1997 and there was a channel on there called live tv. Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted April 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2014 I'll always be grateful to Movies 4 Men for the night I came home drunk, started channel-surfing with a stiffy, and they showed CANDICE MICHELLE lezzing out with a girl in a bath!!! Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted April 20, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 20, 2014 Yeah, Movies4Men still show softcore films on a regular basis. Lots of early 90s erotic thrillers on rotation. They are the only channel I know of that still do.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 20, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2014 They seem to have stopped since the move to freeview. Certainly haven't in the last fortnight unless you count Porky's (I don't).
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted April 21, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Bravo was brilliant for soft core lush. Threw a few plots in as well. A lot of them bordered on bad b movies. Beach Babes from Beyond (a Nikki Fritz sighting and an appearance from a desperate for work Burt Ward), Femalien, some nonsense with Shauna O Brien, Sex Court The Movie, even 'I like to play games too' with the stonking Maria Ford Edited April 21, 2014 by WWFChilli
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted April 21, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) I remember when 11:45pm on a Thursday in 1995 was the "Thursday Night Sex" section of Sky Movies. I wish I recorded some of them. I remember "Young Lady Chatterley" being played a lot. Might have had Adam West in it? "Red Shoe Diaries: The Film" was always on because David Duchovny was big at the time due to X-Files. I remember he read smutty letters to his dog in the film. How weird was that?
