Even from the trailer, I can see one of my pet peeves with wrestling games -- wrestlers (especially olden-time wrestlers) don't have movesets as big as the ones they have in games, so they end up doing loads of moves in the game that they never did. Macho Man does John Morrison's Flying Chuck there. Still, given the cartoony nature, I suppose it doesn't matter much.

But the "2 Generations... 1 Ring" tagline? The Rock and Andre The Giant weren't the same generation, THQ marketing gimps.

It'd get awfully repetitive if they put in the actual movesets for each wrestler.

I reckon you could make a decent go of making almost every character interesting even if you were sticking to manouevres that they have used before. There would maybe be some that would appear pretty bland because their offense was rather generic (eg. Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Brutus the Barber Beefcake etc), but the only ones that you probably couldn't avoid becoming repetititve with would be monster types who never really done much in the way of moves - characters like Andre The Giant, or if it wasn't exclusively WWF, Abdullah the Butcher for example - but the whole attraction of picking to play as characters like that anyway would be to be a big guy pummeling smaller dudes, so there wouldn't be a problem.

I'm with the above poster, i prefer movesets to be pretty accurate in wrestling games, whether it's a simulation or a cartoony arcade type game. I wouldn't mind some exaggerations in the cartoon style games (like for example, Hulk Hogan having a special move where he can hit the legdrop from the top, likerwise the Warrior with his splash), but i wouldn't like to see guys from the 80s and early 90s using movesets full of stuff with no relevance ot them and that wasn't even innovated/popularised until about 20 years later)

- Gamespot revealed this weekend that the four classes on THQ's new WWE All Stars game will be Acrobat, Big Man, Brawler and Grappler. Gamespot wrote the following on the four classes:

"Acrobats are the high flyers in the WWE--the wrestlers who put their bodies on the line anytime there's an opportunity to jump from the top turnbuckle. Among the acrobats in WWE All Stars are Rey Mysterio Jr., "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Koffi Kingston. All of them can perform some pretty amazing moves, but the trade-off for being an acrobat is that they're not as sturdy as some of the other wrestlers, meaning they can't take a whole lot of punishment.

Brawlers are the hard-nosed wrestlers. These are the guys who will go toe-to-toe and just beat each other to a pulp. In this game, brawlers have a basic assortment of both strikes and grappling moves, making them an all-around solid class. They also have the benefit of being able to use unblockable moves that you can use to execute other combinations. The brawlers' roster includes some pretty big names, like Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Sheamus.

You can probably guess who's in the big man class and what their strengths and weaknesses are. These are the wrestlers who hit hard--so hard, in fact, that they can bounce their opponents off the ring ropes with a single move that then lets them launch into a juggling combination. Big men can also use a skill where they stomp their feet to send another wrestler flying into the air. And while their sheer size makes them hard to take down, it also makes the big man the slowest of the four classes in the game. Andre the Giant and The Big Show are among the big men in WWE All Stars.

Grapplers, the fourth and final class, are the wrestlers who know all of the ins and outs of wrestling and have plenty of moves in their arsenal. In WWE All Stars, this translates into wrestlers who can chain just about any move together for a seemingly unending string of combos. Additionally, they can pin their opponents from several positions, opening up the possibility for surprise wins. Unfortunately, their advantages in the ring come at the cost of striking ability--grapplers can't dish out as much punishment with their punches and kicks. If this sounds up your alley, you can play as wrestlers like Bret "The Hitman" Hart or Triple H."

With Piper, Guerrero, Slaughter and Jake being added, there's only 4 more spots left open for legends. As you can see from those silhouettes it's blatantly Mr Perfect next to Edge. The other 3 I'm a bit stumped, there's a few greats that are going to miss out, I hope Snuka isn't included, L.O.D would be a nice touch or even Demolition. Million Dollar Man being a Pre-Order only at Gamestop upon release, maybe the other is Rude or Boss Man? I can't wait for this, it looks like its going to be a lot of fun!

According to IGN, LOD, Dusty and Cody along with the Dibases are DLC
