Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 21, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 21, 2016 Mayhem remains on the card in a 205lb fight, cant recall a promotion ever allowing a fighter to do that before.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 23, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 23, 2016 i didn't see the show due to there being a lack of a decent stream anywhere to watch, couple of surprising not so surprising results on the show, the biggest being Palhares getting KO'd in under a minute, i imagine we'll see Emil Webber Meek show up in the UFC or Bellator pretty soon, oh and Mayhem got choked out. Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6bqzouUcj4 Â Matt Hamill got knocked dead by Sokodjou: Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxa1J7QgrlA Â why is Hamill still fighting? Paid Members Egg Shen Posted September 22, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 22, 2016 RIZIN MMA returns this Sunday. There's very little fanfare or buzz around it but im still hoping the promotion does well. They still have a big New Years Eve show planned so im all for that.  The show involves the opening round of the promotion's Open Weight Grand Prix.   The Tournament is just full of random Japanese matchmaking, weirdly Crocop sits in there and that's enough to get my interest peaked.  Wanderlei Silva is also in the tournament but gets a bye into round 2, as does a 'mystery fighter', brilliant. Round 2 and the finals happen on the New Years shows.  here's the lineup:  http://www.sherdog.com/events/Rizin-2-Rizin-Fighting-World-Grand-Prix-2016-Opening-Round-53681  Gracie/Tokoro im interested to see, tough out for a 3rd fight. The actual tournament should be interested based on the weirdness of it all, an ancient Kazayuki Fujita fights a 350lb sumo wrestler, just barmy Japanese matchmaking.  Darren Cruickshank fights Andy Souwer too who's long been one of the best kickboxers in the world.  There's no TV deal in place in America from what i can gather so i might have to go old school with the Japanese commentary for this one. TildeGuy~!
The hotel altercation happened a few days ago. Â They got separated backstage at the event this morning, Wanderlei was sporting a black eye when he was cornering. Edited September 25, 2016 by TildeGuy~! Paid Members Egg Shen Posted October 8, 2016 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 8, 2016 the Krazy Horse thing was crazy, that guy is out of freakin' mind. I'd actually look forward to a Wanderlei/Krazy Horse fight. Â No spoilers but WSOF held an event last night, Justin Gaethje main evented so it'll be worth your time. I'll be checking it out tomorrow. The Justin Gaethje fight was called off at the last minute after his opponent felt unwell. Branch/Vinny MagalhĂŁes main evented instead. DJM
Mackenzie Dern fought her second MMA fight last night and won with an impressive submission (just checked and she has won BJJ matches with the same submission):  https://youtu.be/PP-05xO0H_Y?t=2m17s  Dern could be one to watch if she can get good in the other elements of MMA, as her BJJ is some of the best in the world. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) Love watching Gaethje and Moraes. Fitch vs Shields is going to put Nytol out of business though. Â Edit - fucking hell, a card with Fitch vs Shields and they put Jared Rosholt on the undercard as well! Heathens. Â And I honest to God forgot that Yushin Okami existed. Edited November 17, 2016 by wandshogun09
