Why anyone even bothers to book Danis anymore I don’t know. And who’s buying tickets? He rarely ever actually shows up. Just talks a load of shite, books a fight, pulls out just before the fight, rinse and repeat. And even if he does show up who cares?

Danis royally fucked them over. The injury he has looks nasty, but there's claims that it happened a while ago and he held out until 2 days before the event to pull out. I don't know much about the other "Influencer" types on the card but hopefully they have name enough to shift some PPV's.

Mike Perry has had to take over a 50% pay cut to stay on the card too.

Hopefully this’ll be a lesson to all promoters and potential opponents to just not even bother entertaining the idea of doing business with the scruffy little scrotum. No doubt some idiot will book him again and we’ll go through this same old rigmarole again in six months time. But anyone with functioning brain cells isn’t gonna waste their time. It’s not like he even generates a ton of interest or hype either is it? Genuinely baffles me why promoters keep giving him the time of day, or why fighters ever sign on to fight him. You’re asking for this shite. Can’t say I feel bad for Perry for that very reason. You have to know when you sign the contract that there’s about a 90% chance the twat pulls out.

From what im reading Perry and Danis are pretty friendly outside of the ring so i'd imagine Perry thought he could trust the ballbag.

Only just realised this absolute belter is tomorrow...

Both Rizin and the PFL belts are on the line. Shaidulloev is very much in that "best fighter outside the UFC" conversation, 19-0 with 19 finishes. Apparently 50,000 people in attendance for this too. Gotta watch.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find a video of the fight.

Big test for Shaidulloev.

Ahhh bollocks.

I'll have to try and find a way around that tomorrow. Nothing like a big fight in Japan.

I like McKee, but I hope Shaydullaev wins. MMA needs fighters with aura, which its sadly lost lately with Chimaev and Toperia both losing.

Shaydullaev wins 30-27 on all cards.

McKee had the odd moment, the odd decent strike landed, the odd brief advantageous position on the ground, but was still beaten soundly for the first time in his career (his two previous losses were razor thin decisions). Shaydullaev had few issues forcing McKee back to the ropes with strikes, landing takedowns, and controlling McKee on top. Both were clearly fatigued at the end. Still, an impressive performance.

Even more impressive was that 48k were in attendance in the Osaka Dome on a random working day.
