King Mal the Glorious
Couple of good ones there but I'll hold off for a few months. Managed to get a cheap room booked with free cancellation which is always the hard part!
WyattSheepMask
Download have announced changes to the site layout for the 2020 festival in an attempt to stop the ground turning to shit and reduce walking times from the campsites to the arena https://www.planetrock.com/news/rock-news/download-festival-site-improvements/

I've a sneaking suspicion Carcass will be one with their new album coming out in August. Going to hold out for the next couple of announcements before grabbing a ticket. Merzbow
I've got a feeling they'll jump on the Lingua Ignota bandwagon and book her, she's not "metal" but became one of the biggest names in the underground scene.
King Mal the Glorious
I hope so, I've heard nothing but good things about her shows so far. Not arsed about Carcass at all, I've seen them a bunch of times and their new single is nothing special.

Could see them playing if not her alone as their album's come out this year. Edited March 3, 2020 by Merzbow
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted March 4, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted March 4, 2020 listened to a review of that on the Riot Act podcast last night as it happens, sounds like harrowing stuff.

Merzbow
Nice, I didn't buy it as I heard it was very US centric and kind of skips over other scenes but I'll give it a watch now. Edit: Fuck Digby, Edited March 21, 2020 by Merzbow

WyattSheepMask
Suprised that it’s taken this long, but Download 2020 has now officially been cancelled. Refunds are being offered, but they’re also allowing tickets for this year to be honoured for Download 2021
Merzbow
Supersonic's been cancelled too, individual bands aren't rescheduling until September time so it's going to get real busy around then.
The Gaffer
Gutted about Download, because it was one of the best line ups for me, but whatever. With an undertaking that size which I've already done a few times, I'm very much of the opinion of thinking of the bother I've saved my body, take the cash windfall from the refund and decide if I want to go next year or not. None of this saving the tickets crap. Not with something this size. Edited March 26, 2020 by Gay as FOOK
