I met Sanjay from Eastenders once, whilst watching The Merchant Of Venice in theatre. Me and my friend asked him for his autograph (I have no idea why). He reluctantly signed both our theatre tickets (albeit two completely different-looking signatures) and then snapped "Can I have a drink now?".

All right Sanj calm down mate, it's not as though we accused you of killing Gita...

Su Pollard - was waiting with my mum at St. Pancras for her train, and we're sitting eating pasties when this crazy looking old woman walks past in a psychedelic catsuit with a giant Hello Kitty rolling case - we stare at her, and she turns round and says "take a picture, it'll last longer". No chance. Su Pollard in a catsuit will never leave my mind - guaranteed hard on material.

Lionel Shriver (possibly a celeb, wrote We Need to Talk About Kevin) - my old company published that book, and I met her a few times. She quoted me in her Guardian column once, with my line "an archipelago of hate".

Walter Mosely - Actually, bit of a cunt. Lives his cool guy gimmick, and even though he's not a big seller here (massive in the USA), demanded rooms in the best hotels and

I met Chris Moyles yesterday in Angel. He was outside a pub having a smoke so I just went over, apologised for interrupting and asked if I could have my photo taken with him. I absolutely love the guy but my friend regrets not kicking him while she had the opportunity.

I also met Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button back last year. Raikkonen was actually very nice despite not being the most personable person in the world and Jenson Button smelled absolutely amazing. I even got a kiss off him.

I used to work for Equity, the actors' union, so I met a few people there - Tony Robinson, Richard Wilson, Prunella Scales, etc. And I was an editor for the uni newspaper back in the day so met quite a lot of bands during that time too. Other randoms include Mike Patton, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Lee Collins, Henry Winkler, SOAD, Dr Karl and Steph from Neighbours, etc. etc.

I've had a "moment" with Daniel Radcliffe. I say a moment because it wasn't much of a meeting, I was ushering for a charity show at the theatre I volunteer at and it was kind of in honour of one of the stunt men from Harry Potter who had an unfortunate accident. We knew Radcliffe was there, he had a meal in our grounds looking all dressed up but when he went into the auditorium he had changed and had a baseball cap on. Anyway, letting people out of the door and he looks up and I recognise him, decided it was best not to say anything which he seemed grateful for.

And that's about it. Oh and I've done a favour for Cindarella, and had the piss taken out of me by Mark Jones but since he's a kids presenter, I think that right, I could be wrong, I doubt many people know him.

aside from meeting wrestlers, the below springs to mind

Dave Grohl - Ozzfest 1998. met him before Sabbath were to come on and asking what he was looking forward to hearing, i was met with a 'fuck off man'. absolute prick.

Slayer - HMV London. Tom and Jeff were sound guys although Kerry was very stand offish. had a brief chat with Tom at the signing and he was very down to earth.

The Wildhearts. many many times meeting the band, having a drink and smoking hash on the tour bus together. great great guys, good fun and Ginger is awesome to get into conversation with.

James Nesbitt - arrogant bastard who only wanted to know if you had any coke on your person. comes across as this nice guy on the telly but a stuck up cunt.

George Best - when i worked in a local bookstore we escorted him and Alex Best through the store. blocked off our canteen as off limits so we couldnt get our bags and coats once the shift finished. arrogant and ignorant. Alex on the other hand was an absolute star. had a good chat with her while he was signing away.

Niall Quinn - met him at the Sunderland v West Ham game in October. everything anyone had ever said about Quinny being great was spot on. a genuine and affable big lad. took the time out when you knew he was busy (in fairness, i did say 'i understand if you are busy and cant stop'. his response was 'its all good'. had a chat and photo with him.

Roy Keane - met him when he was still our manager. seemed fine to me, no real problems. very to the point. managed to get a pic only it turned out the girl who had my camera phone, made a balls of it and it didnt take. by the time i tried to get another, he was away

Fran Cosgrave - met him in a bar in Belfast that shows Sunderland matches. didnt twig on as to who he was at first, only realised when we asked each others names while having a cigarette. he was off his face drunk and was a hoot. had a great laugh with the fella. admitted he is on the gas as well when talking about sports and that. very fond of buying you pints oul Cosgrave is.

Ratt - met them at their aftershow party in Belfast. good guys and still like to party. a friend and myself spent most of the night getting drunk with Bobby Blotzer and Robbie Crane. had a very good chat with John Corabi about The Wildhearts. seemed glad that i was the only person who didnt ask about Motley Crue and his time in the band.

Duff McKagan - given the band he used to be in, i was initially skeptical about meeting him. was really more for my friend who was a massive fan of his and she had never met anyone in a band before. to my surprise though, he was very down to earth, chatty and approachable

Lemmy - well its Lemmy, very to the point, witty and friendly. Mikkey Dee was a legend though. conversation based around Buckfast and Bushmills

Trouble - met them at their Belfast show. very very nice guys especially Kory Clarke who i had wanted to meet for years as im a massive Warrior Soul fan. Kory was very very tiny which was a surprise. had a few whiskeys together and talked about Warrior Soul

thats just a few that spring to mind about this time of night

That surprises me, I ran into Dave Grohl a few weeks ago (he was sitting outside a cafe here in London having a drink with someone) I approached him subtly and respectfully and after giving him a compliment or two we had a nice little chat about metal (he liked my Exodus T-shirt, we both like Celtic Frost) I got a photo with him (which he even got out of his seat to stand up for) and we shook hands and I went away very happy.

He was a great dude, shame your experience wasn't as good as mine.

Can i use word of mouth , from a very reliable source ? A good friend of mine has been employed within the entertainment industry , all his working life ( 28 years )came back to me with the following info on the biggest tossers EVER !

like all good contests , it will be in reverse order :

3, Frankie Howerd - was a lonely because he once again managed to fall out with every member of cast and crew .He tried to cure his loneliness , by attempting to groom my ( male ) friend ( without success )

2, Shane Richie - Known universally as "the loathsome Shane Richie " by all who had the misfortune to work with him.

1, John Pertwee - did a Dr. Who production and after sylvester McCoy took over his position , the whole cast threw a party out of shear relief ! Did not have a single , redeemable quality to his personality and was not bothered who new it !

on the plus side , i have met a tonne of wrestlers and just about every one has been class . Top 3 , in no order ,were Rob Brookside , Mick McManus and Mark Rocco , PURE GOLD !

Footballers, Pretty much everyone thats been active in the Premiership in the last 3 years because of work, had a few pisses next to Bill Kenwright in Goodison (I think our bladders are in sync), nice guy.

On the randoms list, Michael Barrymore (nice guy but obviously a little sinsiter), Ester Ranztham, Henry Winkler (legend), briefly Sly Stallone (all through work) Ewen Bremnar and Michael Kitchen during the filming of 'The Secret Life of Michael Fry', Paul Burrell at a film premiere, Craig Charles, The Smashing Pumpkins, no one super famous but they've all been pretty friendly.

My brother was told to fuck off by Rik Mayall on a school trip, it may well be the happiest moment of his life cause hes a massive fan of Bottom.

In other news a mate of mine saw Rik Mayall on the Tube a few weeks back, didn't have the nerve to say anything, and then lost his chance just as he was mustering the courage because Rik Mayall got off. At Hammersmith.

I've heard Mayall is the complete opposite to Edmondson and will appeciate you banging on about the Young One's and Bottom to him. Mayall's a top bloke by all accounts. Always heard that Ade was a bit of a miserable tosser.

I remember meeting Mick Foley at a UK show a couple years back. In fact I only bought the ticket for the chance to see the man in person.

Cue our legendary conversation at his merch table after me plucking up the courage to go over. He was at this point surrounded by other fans.

"I'd by a t-shirt but I'm skint..."

I don't think he even verbally replied and then I just walked off.

Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden frontman. Met him at a metal pub is Kingston in 2002. He was nice, but didn't really have alot of time to talk as so many people wanted to meet him.

Thijs Van Leer - Frontman of Focus, Legendary progressive rock band from Holland. Met him three times now after gigs, great bloke and an incredible musician. Focus - Hocus Pocus '73

June Brown - Eastenders' Dot Cotton. She opened my primary schools fete one year. She owes my uncle alot of cigarettes.

Paul Burchill - Met him in croydon after a show at fairfield halls. I believe it was one of his last shows in England before going to wwe. he was really friendly and chatted for about 5 minutes, taking photo's as well. In a bit of a prophetic moment, as he was leaving, I said " I hope they use you properly." To which he replied "I hope I get used."

If only we knew.

Not had that many encounters to be honest. Met a whole shedload of Welsh 'celebs' but you probably won't know them unless you watch Pobol y Cwm!

Met Neville Southall at a Wrestling show in Llandudno, when I was 9. He was the 'Guest of Honour' (being from Llandudno himself) and was a gent, got a photo taken with him and my sister. Also got a photo with Orig 'El Bandito' Williams who was the promoter, who was also great.

Met Bill Kenwright outside Goodison park, and he was also fantastic.

I'm a regular follower of the Welsh Footie team home and away, and have met quite a few over the years. We managed to sneak past securty into the team hotel out in San Marino, and got my photo taken with most of the squad in turn. Not a single jackass between them, even Craig Bellamy managed to shout over and wave, which was a surprise. John Toshack was the best though, made sure everyone had a chat and a photo with him, top bloke.
