Neil Pruitt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zM82E2lPRxc  His name is Craig Leathers.  He was the WCW version of Kevin Dunn in the production truck. Worked for Vince in the late-80s.  He was a video camera operator for the movie No Holds Barred.  His "only" WWF work according to wiki was WWF Wrestling Classic (TV Special) (associate producer). Paid Members WWFChilli Posted September 15, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted September 15, 2014 Craig Leathers is also listed in the credits on the VHS for Wrestlemania 2 for what it's worth.
Slapnut
1) What's Doug Williams been up to since he left TNA? Â 2) Was there any particular reason Kane only held the WWF Title for 1 day before losing it back to Austin?
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted September 16, 2014 2) Was there any particular reason Kane only held the WWF Title for 1 day before losing it back to Austin?Only to pop a rating for Austin's re-match on Raw I would imagine. They worked on a theory that "something" must happen on every show to get people watching the next one.
WyattSheepMask
Especially as Nitro was in the middle of that 84 week ratings win streak at the time
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted September 16, 2014 Especially as Nitro was in the middle of that 84 week ratings win streak at the timeThat had been broken the month before. You're right though, that was the reason for the erratic TV.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted September 16, 2014 It also played in nicely with the slow build-up to the Highway To Hell storyline with Undertaker and Kane.
AshC
1) What's Doug Williams been up to since he left TNA? Â Working the indies over here, he's still an awesome talent. Match with JD Knight for 4FW was terrific, I know he worked the Wild Boar on Saturday which I imagine was good too.
Slapnut
Cheers all. Always seemed bizarre they wouldn't stretch Kane's title reign to at least the next PPV, but I suppose it made sense at the time.
Bradyisgod22
Wasn't it also a first blood match which would of been hard to do because of Kanes mask? Also didn't Kane say he would set himself on fire if he lost? They sort of booked themselves into a corner. Obv the theory about getting a raw rating is true too though. CTXRussomark
You say that now but with the way the TV was being presented at the time we were all convinced they were going to go with setting Kane on fire and spent the build-up to the PPV trying to work out how they would do it. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 17, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted September 17, 2014 Plus, they didn't necessarily "book themselves into a corner". If they were planning to switch the title to Kane to create a buzz for Austin's re-match, all they did was add intriguing stipulations they didn't have to carry out. And as CTX says, Kane setting himself on fire wasn't that unlikely.
