Stylin_and_Profilin
First round is always a bit meh to be honest with the seeding system there is usually only a few stand out games on paper to catch the eye. Don't agree with preliminary games being on either; should all be set in stone and decided before it starts.
jimufctna24
Taylor is out  Field is more wide open now, Snake Bite Wright is playing very well and consistent, as is Barney. MVG will be favorite ahead of Lewis though.  Could be much drama if Lewis/Wade meet at some stage.
Ian 86
Peter Wright is playing some good stuff, incredible to average 100+ in a semi.
jimufctna24
MVG was top notch also, 6-0 over Lewis. Â I fancy MVG to win the final, but I like him and Wright, who has been very consistent this week.

It's hard to look past MvG but I'd absolutely love it if Wright wins. Seemed like a really nice in the post-match interview as well which always helps.  MvG was my pre-tourney pick but everyone likes an underdog, right? Especially one with rainbow hair
Keith Houchen
If ever there was a player playing up to the gimmick, it's Wright. It's Pro Wrestling, he found an avenue and is lapping it up. Fair play.
Paid Members mim731 Posted February 6, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2014 Anyone watching the Premier League tonight? Van Barneveld looks lively, and MVG just whitewashed Taylor 7-0! Cracking way to kick off the new season.

jimufctna24
My mistake, missed that. Â Good night of darts all round, Wright and Lewis both played well.
Paid Members Statto Posted February 8, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 8, 2014 If ever there was a player playing up to the gimmick, it's Wright. It's Pro Wrestling, he found an avenue and is lapping it up. Fair play. Â One drunken evening during the BDO World Championships a few years back, I proposed an idea to my former housemate that the BDO could return itself to prominence by basically turning darts into pro wrestling. Â After a pair of tournaments, you crown a World Champion and a pair of World Doubles Champions, and give them belts of course. Â A bunch of players had already got little gimmicks, so really ramp them up. Martin Adams & Ted Hankey became a heel, movie monster themed tag team. Tony O'Shea and his mate whose name I forgot right now really became a ska-dancing version of the Blues Brothers. Basically, those two feuding over the World Doubles belts was about as far as my booking went. Â But that's how it would work. Once you had your champs, it was challenge matches for the titles. Scripted promos would be shot, as would simple little angles. But at the heart of it, legitimate darts competition. Â Stick an hour of that on ITV4 in the middle of the night once a week, I think you're onto something. Maybe.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 8, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 8, 2014 That's pretty much PDC to an extent, isn't it? Without the belts
jimufctna24
Taylor vs Lewis tonight in the Premier League. Given their last TV clash produced an insanely high standard, tonight could be special. Â Adi is quite the singer as well -
