Love the profile picture Butch. The guy who made that picture is a regular poster on the darts forum I post on. My Brother has been telling me about that Adam's incident for weeks. I thought he had made it up.

I am not convinced that Adams will beat Durrant tonight,. Durrant has been playing pretty good. Wilson and Kong are off to the PDC according to reports, and Norris might follow. The depth in the BDO continues to shrink.

What incident are you talking about?

That was a brilliant match, poor Durrant I thought it was his on a few occasions. After the second 180 I was certain Adams was going to throw the 9 darter, i don't care if it's a dick move to root against it (and Adams missing out on £250,000, I think) I was praying for him not to make it. Just imagine if he had? The BDO (and Adams) are bad enough with how they think they are the only thing around, even saying "the other lot" when referring to the PDC, this would have made the whole thing insufferable. I love how PDC just embraces the BDO and happily talks about them. I'm also glad the averages dropped below 100, yes I'm irrational.

Going to the darts always seems like a good idea in theory, I think to myself that it will be a great night of fun however I get the sense It will be a massive letdown and a pretty shit experience. Plus the fact watching it on tv is just the perfect experience, it really does rank up there for tv sports. I will probably give the premier league a go this year, as its a bloody great lineup.

I have been going to the Manchester shows for years (since 2009). It is hit and miss.

Last year was fine, barely a sign of trouble. Maybe one person was ejected in total.

However, the 2012 Premier League was a complete shambles. Fights in the stands, seats and toilets. Beer being thrown everywhere. It was utter carnage. Never been to an event or festival like it. The highlight of the night was seeing Adi Lewis having a fag outside the arena.

The carnage carried on after the show, The take away right next to Manchester Station had to shut due to some disturbances. I was glad to get on the train, the entire night was a complete write-off.

If you are not a drinker. Try and get in the family stand.

Oh god, yeah I'm not a drinker really. I do like the idea of being in those bench areas and don't think I would stick out too much!

Thanks for the info, I would definitely go for one of the smaller venues if I do.

On the subject of seeing darts players, Simon Whitlock was at a poker tournament in Nottingham I was at a few months back. And later when he busted he jumped into a pretty big cash game, he looked really haggard. Super nice and personable guy though, oh and he (along with a lot of others apparently) thinks Wade is a dick.

No problem.

Whitlock is rumoured to be a little too partial to ale. Hence why he always looks "haggard". He got some shit a week or so back. He sent a picture of himself with a women on his lap to his ex-girlfriend with the message "happy new year.

In the past, both Whitlock and Wade have said in interviews they are friends. But I believe they fell out around a year ago. Not sure what over. There was clearly needle on this occasion.

I think you can read a little bit into how players get on and who does / doesn't like each other from their acknolwedgement's at the end of the game.

I know if you get beat you aren't always liable to be always smiley and cuddly but i've always noticed with Wade it's a very loose and somewhat insincere handshake regardless if he wins or loses whcih always got me thinking how well thought of his is amongst his peers? I've never particularly taken to him and always thought he was a bit smug with a bit of a chip on his shoulder in regards to thinking he was better than he actually was.

I've met Whitlock, and, true to form as you say he was blazing but really down to earth and stopped to chat with my friends and I which was particularly nice considering it was about 3am in Blackpool and he was minding his own business walking down the road after leaving the casino.
