Paid Members FLips Posted August 11, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 11, 2017 Need some advice. Got a TV from Richer Sounds about 2 years ago now, and today it has tipped off something while moving it and broke the screen. I'm covered by their 6 year guarantee but having just read it to see how to claim on it, it's not covered by accidental damage, or basically anything. Anyone with any experience know what I can say broke my TV and get me a fix/replacement?
Rey_Piste
If the screen is cracked then there's nothing you can say to scam the system. You're just going to have to suck it up and buy a new telly
Paid Members FLips Posted August 11, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 11, 2017 They look like they can fix it for £80 thankfully. So going to have to do that! Cheers.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted August 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2017 Does anybody here use NOW TV? Is it a decent alternative to Sky? By that I mean, does everything work well and can you get a decent continued service by continually using special offers? I'm just fed up with being ripped off by Sky and I'm considering whatever other options are out there.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted August 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2017 I use it for sports when Spurs are playing on Sky (I've got BT) If your net connection is good, it's fine.
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted August 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2017 So do you buy a one day Sports pass for that then?
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted August 12, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2017 Yeah, although this week I bought a week pass yesterday because I fancied watching a few games on Sky this weekend. There's a deal if you search online to get two months for 20 a month.
Porkchopcash
Does anyone on here know and reputable sites to buy strong cocodamol painkillers from 30/500mg ones? Without much hassle or online medicals etc..... thanks
Paid Members waters44 Posted August 13, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 13, 2017 Now TV is great, I'll keep it forever. I pay £18 per month and get all the movies (around 1,300 on demand I think) and entertainment channels / box sets. As long as your internet is ok you will be fine. Plus there is no contract so cancel whenever with just a months notice.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted August 14, 2017 Awards Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2017 With Now TV, almost always when you get to the cancel screen (online) you will get offered a discount to stay if you list your reason as "I didn't have time to watch everything." Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted August 14, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 14, 2017 Ha. Just did that. Got £1.50 off a month. Although I went through each option, the one that worked was technical difficulties.
Sphinx
I've found an old DVD that I thought had been lost 10 years ago. I used it like I would a memory stick now, so it has loads of videos, pictures and Word documents on there. The issue is it reads extremely slowly so I can't view videos. To my eyes, it has some minor scratches but nothing too severe. I've tried cleaning it and using CD Recovery Toolbox, but it's still extremely slow. I started the recovery around 10pm last night and it's at 6.29MB of the first file - at this rate it'd literally take about a year. Is there anything else I can try? Paid Members BigJag Posted August 15, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted August 15, 2017 IS CD Recovery the same as ripping the data from the CD to a HDD/USB stick? If the data is precious. It's best to back it up to a more secure format.
