Yeah it's quickcash, which is the only way I withdraw online anyway. The problem is they recently made a £500 daily limit for withdrawals via quickcash, so if If I have bigger bets on I don't want the limit. I had a lengthy argument about it with them, so now I don't bet as much as well as out of principle I refuse to wait each time. Which is probably a good thing really. It's also because whatever I win at the end of a night I will withdraw it all. I've been burnt too many times in the past of keeping it in there and losing it! Even though I will then go deposit some later.

I don't want to be the boring guy who just posts in the betting thread, especially if it's only to say what I win as I sure as hell lose a lot too!

Like Tuesday night, I had a £70 on Liverpool/Basel & Galatasaray/Arsenal BTTS, the over for both Dallas/Memphis & Bucks/Thunder, with the Spurs money line @1.20) as a bumper to take the odds from 9 to 1 to 11 to 1...

Well, because it just had to happen the Spurs lost to a 5-16 team. Everything else won and the sure thing lost. Needless to say it was rather annoying.

Anyway yesterday I had £80 (yeah I threw my £50 weekday limit out the window.) on Shalke, Barca/PSG BTTS, Clippers -6.5.

Well it came down to the Clippers who going into the 4th quarter had like a 20point lead. So I was pretty happy. I'm still not sure how, but it was the most ridiculous of turnarounds and I ended up needing a miracle in the last few seconds for them to cover, luckily they ended up winning by 7 and I won £448.33.

Now here's where the tale of fun and greed begins. So I thought to myself "I would like to go collect an even £450 tomorrow from the store."

Which meant me putting £8.33 on a bet, but then I thought "ahh may as well do £20 on a different bet" (all single spread bets at 10/11 odds). So I was down to £420.. To which I thought, "Hmm maybe I should put another £20 on that bet so if it wins then it will just be a bit better."

Both were not going great, but I saw the Dallas/Pelicans Over midway through the 3rd quarter at a ridiculously low 204.5 (I think there were a couple minutes of no scoring which bumps it low.) I immediately jumped on that and put £100 on. That way even if my other crap bets lost, I would still end up with £485 if this won.

Predictably the 3 little bets lost and the £100 won easily. So upto £485.

Then my mind started thinking again. "Hmm, I'm so close to £500 I would prefer to collect that. Let's just chuck the £20 on something to make up £500".

With that in mind I put £20 on Houston/Golden State over 204.5 (suspiciously low. I couldn't understand why!). After that I thought I may as well put the extra £15 on it also.

Well that ended up losing.

So 6 bets total after my initial win, all equated to £1.67 of wins!

It was a rather pointless endeavour.

Anyway tonight I have Young boys/Sparta BTTS, Feyenoord, Cavs/Thunder over 204 (again I don't understand this line? Neither team is defending & match ups indicate there's gonna be plenty of points.

Madness.)

£60 wins about £390.

No doubt if the football loses then I will just be an idiot and get sucked into doubling the Cavs/Thunder over with the other basketball game or the nfl game tonight.

I only ever bet chump change but I put on an acca for the champions league games, betting solely on odds on teams and they all came up, I stuck on a lucky 63? As well with a tiny stake and I got back forty quid in total.

I now see what they mean about losing isn't the issue with gambling, winning is. Now instead of being chuffed, I'm thinking I should have put more on it.

I stuck a fiver each on 4 singles for this week's Champs League (not a gambler of big sums at all!) and they all came in - Barca-PSG BTTS, Chelsea Win, Liverpool - Basel under 2.5 goals and Real to win both halves.  If I stuck on a quadruple I would've been £100 richer at least.

Yes, me again posting. It's like bad beat stories, you always want to tell them yet no one else actually gives a shit.

Yesterday football was an absolute train wreck for me. My usual betting strategy for football is to get 4 or 5 of the bigger teams (this case Chelsea/City/Bayern/Dortmund/Lazio) for about 7 to 1 and do £150 on that.

Then I will do a £120 bet or so on something else, usually an away team (this case Ipswich) and chuck it in with Chelsea/City/Bayern (teams I think just won't lose.). Usually so the bets come back near 800 or so. With one usually coming in at near £1,000.

Well Dortmund continue to be crap and Ipswich drew. So a pretty horrible day, I feel like sometimes I'm betting on football because it's what you're supposed to bet on at the weekend. Plus the variety is there, but I find it lets me down a bit.

Onto the night where I usually just try and win the money back. So I had £50 some basketball - Warriors/Mavs under 214.5 @1.9 (which is a stupid line. I don't care how much these teams score, a line should never be that high. I still can't believe it.) Portland money line @1.5 (I pussed out of the spread) as well as the Nets money line @ 2.5.

That won and came back for just over £350.

Just as the game was starting I saw Sacremento -5.5 against Detroit and thought "That line is far too low!! Detroit fucking suck.". And on the app I immediately took it for £100 and did the quick bet thing. Without properly looking.

(Side note - the page was set out with Sacremento vs Detroit 5.5. Then the two options to the right. Not under. But to the right. You may see where this is going?)

And yep, I accidentally took Detroit +5.5. I've actually made this mistake before and lost an £600 bet because of it. Really pissed me off.

So for the whole game I was annoyed and didn't even want to watch. When all of a sudden I came back to it in the 4th quarter and Detroit were up! They even won outright. So my god that was a blessed moment.

Today I have an nfl bet for £150 - Houdton +7 & Miami +7.5 @3.65 to return about £550

I also have both teams money line for £50 @ 13.5 to 1!

(Pretty unlikely, but it's not a terrible bet. If you have a spare fiver give it a go. But don't invest too heavily in it.)

Depending on what happens, as they are both early games, I will decide on what basketball or next batch of nfl games to bet on.

Though my betting weekend shows that I know nothing and being lucky (and stupid for not checking.) is far more important than 'knowledge'.

I had a good night on Friday night when I headed to my local casino. When I got there I was a tad bit drunk after my works Xmas lunch/afternoon drinking session. I entered the poker tournament which was a £30 + £30 tournament, with a 10,000 starting stack with an option of buying another 10k in chips with a guaranteed pot of £3,000. At the end of the first break I had a stack of 37,000 so I felt comfortable not taking the rebuy, so I was only in for an investment of £35 (£5 reg fee).

After the first break I quickly got up to about 65k in chips, but throughout I got into a bit of a tangle with one of the "local characters." I don't think I helped myself when I said earlier in the tournament to him "just me and you big boy!" The look on his face was a picture. I was playing standard ABC poker until a hand which changed the whole game. I was in late position and no one acted before me. I looked down at 3, 4 both clubs, so I made a minimum raise. Big Boy was on the dealer button and reraised me double what I put in. If I wasn't plastered I probably would have folded but I thought I would take a look at the flop out of interest.

The flop was 2 of clubs, queen of clubs, 3 of spades. I instantly thought I am check shoving here, not only did I have a flush draw and a pair there was a chance of a runner runner straight. I checked and as anticipated Big Boy put a hefty bet, I insta-shoved, he insta-called and turned over pocket aces. so I needed any club, 3 or a 4. The 4 of diamonds hits on the river meaning my two pair busted my aces, he was fucking furious and went off ranting to his mate on the other table while I scooped in a pot of around 130k which was about 25% of chips in play.

By the final table came round I was suffering quite badly as I stopped drinking for 2 hours and the "awake hangover" was starting to kick in. Under the gun I had AQ of hearts so i raised three times the big blind. two short stacks went all in so I was priced in to call. One had pocket 9's the other had AK Diamonds. First card shown on the flop was a queen which held out and knocked the two out. I then had my own pocket Aces busted by J 7 who hit three of a kind jacks which was the poker gods telling me off for being a dick earlier on. We got to the final four and we all had about the same stack and agreed to chop up the remaining prize pool which netted me £570. Not bad considering I had 8 pints before the start of the tournament, I really am beginning to believe I am the Bill Werbeniuk of poker as I seem to cash when I am pissed!

Awesome man, that's a really good value tournament so great going.

People get so mad when there's drunk guys playing but I love it, it adds fun to an otherwise boring game. Also there is nothing better than seeing guys blow up over anything, especially if they lose to a drunk guy.

I also can't stand when people do the whole "how did you call with that?!". I mean I used to be guilty of that back in the day, but then I realised how much of a dick it made me look.

I did have a great one of those playing the wpt500 in Nottingham where I 5bet shoved a guy with 4h2h in a spot there was NO WAY I could have a monster. I just felt like doing it really, as I was having a shit day and figured I would fire another bullet anyway the next day. He had pocket queens (did tank for about 5mins. Though can't imagine he would have ever folded), and once he saw my hand he got up and started calling me every name under the sun! It was amazing, the guy completely blew up and went insane for the whole time.

I sort of could understand as he didn't want to go out like that, but it was ridiculous. I would love to see when he isn't an 80/20 favourite.

It wasn't even a real sweat on the flop, yet he was still going crazy. He held easily, though I did have like 14% on the river if I remember.

These days I just needle anyone who I think will explode, it's just more fun that way. If you're taking it too seriously then I have no sympathy.

In other news, I think I'm gonna be losing money this weekend. Well unless the Warriors & Spurs both covers

I managed to fluke another of my £30 bets. Which was a nice comeback after the weekend & days prior where I ended up losing about £250.

The football was a great bet I thought, I learned my lesson and stayed away from Dortmund. I also love Wednesdays for basketball as I've said before, there's just so many games. Yet once again the 'sure thing' was the one that nearly cost me. As the Clippers almost lost whilst being -11:5 favourites at the start of the 4th quarter.

I usually do bet on other games to go along with it but I showed restraint this time, as I would have ended up betting a couple of the hundred knowing I would likely win that bet after the football came in (as you see the basketball portionate nothing odds, just tgere to bolster it a bit). Though restraint isn't always a good thing because I loved Memphis & Houston as a bet which would have won. Plus all the overs came in which I usually bet on.

Yet I'm still happy with the win and happy that I don't go crazy anymore! I also always withdraw the winnings the next day. So that helps a lot.

Bet 365 are doing the free £50 inplay (guaranteed profit) today for Liverpool/Arsenal...

for those inclined (stolen from here)

Small profit (guaranteed)

Pre match - place a £50 bet on Liverpool double chance (win or draw)
Inplay - bet £50 on Arsenal to win
Liverpool win = you gain £25 profit
Arsenal win = you gain £35 profit

Small - medium profit (guaranteed)

Pre match - place a £50 bet on Liverpool/Arsenal double chance
Inplay - bet £50 on Draw
Liverpool or Arsenal win = you gain £14.50 profit
If the game ends a draw = you gain £130 profit

Zero to high profit (not guaranteed but what I will be doing).

Pre match - Place £5 on 0-0 (separate with a different bookie)
Pre match - Place £50 on over 0.5 goals
Inplay - You then have £50 to put on anything. You can go as risky as you like (correct score, first scorer ect). I'll use Arsenal 2-1 win as an example.

Arsenal win 2-1 = you gain £548 profit
0-0 = you gain £5 profit
At least 1 goal but not your 'risky bet' = £5 loss

I'd recommend using another bookie for the 0-0 (NOT BET365). Simply because you are rinsing them for guaranteed profit and if your 'risky bet' comes in, it will be for a decent amount.

For the 0-0 £5 bet, why not use a bet £5 get £20 free offer (get £25 of bets for £5!!). Here's a couple you can take advantage of...

Well, Golden State Warriors losing (after having a double digit lead for some of the game!! I still don't hate the bet, they just went ice cold) means I missed out on about £4,000

As I had 3 bets, two with them in! That was mildly upsetting.

At least the football came in, but still.. Betting is bloody annoying sometimes!

Felt like all the football results came in today, so hopefully everyone else won?

(Put £110 on Watford/wolves BTTS, arsenal, Brooklyn double result.)

Hi,

I'm a total novice at betting but signed up with Betfair yesterday as they had a promotion for new customers of a no-risk bet on Arsenal winning. Basically I now have 4 free bet tokens, 3 x £10 and 1 x £8 which 'can only be used on selections with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or greater.' Does anyone have any tips/thoughts on how I can use them over the next few days? It seems like I can only use one token per bet..

Thanks in advance.
