Van Dammer Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Wooly, I appreciate the effort you're putting in to all of this, but you need to look at your methods. In the 1.45 at Newbury you put up four horses in a 7 runner race - three of them each way. This means that with bookies only paying 2 places for each way purposes, there would be a slim chance of you making money from this race using this method - especially with a short price favourite. Even if you tipped the winner and second, you would have two losers also, and using a level stakes method you would find it impossible to turn a profit - unless a horse won at odds greater than 8/1. Good luck though. Just looked through all of the bets and its a crazy number of bets. It looks virtually impossible, if not completely impossible to return a profit on those selections based on even best case scenario. If youre finding more than a handful of 'value' bets a day, then youre probably not identifying value properly. The most successfull professional gamblers in the world would rarely be punting on more than a few selections a day, a dozen or so at the absolute most on an amazing day.
Stylin_and_Profilin Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) 5/1 ew on Jonathan Soriano to score 1st tonight in Celtic v Salzburg game. Normally a lottery these sort of bets but he has scored 77 goals from 87 appearences for Salzburg and the only man in europe to score more goals in 2014 than Ronaldo. The problem with that is you are betting (predominantly) on 50/50 chances. Over/under points and handicaps are generally priced to 105%, sometimes more, sometimes less. Even if on average you are betting at 10/11 on those 50/50 chances you are losing about 2.35% to the price. In that case youd need to perform much better than just 54% in order to make a worthwhile profit, especially if you are betting in £1 stakes, it would take you an age to build up a meaningful bank. Thats based on thousands of bets too so you are talking about a long period of time and at tiny stakes, is it really worth the work and hours simply to produce small profit and the absolute best? And that doesnt even take into account instances of betting on 4 horses in the same 7 runner race, which is so fallible to even a novice gambler that its a bit worrying you posted it. Id also say that bank building schemes like these are very appealing but ultimately almost always fail, especially when you are betting against the American odds compilers, they are generally the most knowledgeable and experienced in the business and put us British compilers to shame.

I dont understand? First you say it would take 5 weeks to do £2000 of bets and then you say it would take 10 days to do it? Why are you placing the same bets 5 times at 5 different bookies when youre only staking a pound at each one? And also, if you are betting at 1.9 every time, you only have 169 winners from 324 bets, thats 52.1% of winners. But betting at 1.9 (or 9/10 if youre old fashioned like me) then you are effectively betting at 52.63% on each bet so you are actually currently running at a loss., a £2.90 loss I make it. Even if you do make £90 over a 5 week period like you say, I think thats very difficulty but hey ho, is it really worth all of the work and effort, many hours by the looks of it, for effectively £90 a month? If you enjoy it then fair enough. Put it this way, for 2014 im currently running at a return of 113.8% off of 909 bets. Thats 909 bets in a whole year, and youre placing 2000 in a month? Sorry if I feel like im being overly critical, but you are posting these on a public forum where people are likely to blindly follow your bets so I think any system should be open to criticism and hopefully improvement.

Ron&Hermione Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I like to bet every night, even if it is a crappy little bet, like last night's. I love the double results for games and the NBA has awesome value for it. Memphis 3.5 to 1! Unbelievable. If you do follow it and want to bet, definitely bet on Memphis in general, they finally know how to play together. Definitely a title contender who will want the 1 seed. That and the Dallas over, great bets in my mind. bild hochladen Anyway, put £80 on this. In store is awful for value, but I'd rather give up £130 that I could have got on willhill online because of their ridiculous £500 daily withdrawl limit. As I like to collect that day usually. bilder kostenlos Anyway, not as confident as the odds say I should be but relying on Chelsea & Madrid isn't the worst place to be in. (First attempt at actually doing pictures, I'm an idiot so if have done it wrong, let me know.)

Ron&Hermione Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I bet you're loving Chelsea right now huh?Ha, yeah. Watching a team put 10 behind the ball is a fickle beast, sometimes I love watching them hold out and sometimes... Well sometimes I don't! What makes it worse is that if you bet online you get your money back if one team lets you down. So that and the added money just shows how dumb it was to bet Instore, talk about running bad! Anyway, back on the horse with Rockets double result and Clippers double result. Tomorrow I already know I'm gonna get burnt putting Man City in my bet, but they are too good to pass up.
Brock Goldberg Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Unlucky with the footy bet mate. Betting online would have given you the cash out option also if W.Hills still do that.
Ron&Hermione Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Unlucky with the footy bet mate. Betting online would have given you the cash out option also if W.Hills still do that. Oh I hate the cash out option, it's so insulting. They just lowball you to a ridiculous degree. I had a bet recently where 3 teams had to win to come back about £1,600. 2 teams won and just waiting on Reading to finish up, 10 mins left and they were bloody 4-0 up (maybe 3-0) and got an offer of £950. Happens all the time too. So I rarely ever use cash out. I prefer to go down with the betting ship. Anyway, Rockets (@ 3.40) & Clippers (@ 2.05) double result came through. Only £60 on it, but still just over £400. I know Milwaukee were home & Houston were without Dwight but even still. It's rather ridiculous for them to have that line. Any team that can move the ball can take advantage of a young team like the Bucks. Add Houston to the undervalued list whilst Dwight is out. So all in all.. Bloody Chelsea screwed me out of a great day. Today I just couldn't help it.. I went with City, Barca, New England & Denver. Green Bay really aren't as great as their record suggests & Denver are just the better team who will make fewer mistakes. £85 @17 to 1! What an awesome price.
wooly Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) had 62 wins 58 loses so ok but not great total wins 231 loses 213 = +18 when i first started gambling (a few years ago now) i had £100 and would bet £1/1% on 40 bets a day. my aim was to place 2000 bets in 5 weeks with overall record of between 54% and 58% win rate to make £90 and yes its a grind and a pain. but once i got there id raised my betting stakes to 2% and the aim of making £180 over the same amount of bets. and so on so forth.as time has gone on i have built up my money/bankroll and therefore my betting stakes have increased so instead of 5 weeks i can now place 2000 bets in about 10 days due to the money i have to play with that i have accumulated over the years.when i started this 2000 bets of with my £100 i always new it was going to be a maration and not a sprint. my aim was always to be +2 on the 40 bets i placed the day before.day 1 - wins 22 loses 18 - total wins 22 loses 18 = +4day 2 - wins 22 loses 18 - total wins 44 loses 36 = +8day 3 - wins 22 loses 18 - total wins 66 loses 54 = +12of course its not that easy. the sole aim is i hit my target of +200 after 2000 bets. it does not matter after 100 , 300 or 500 bets. it just matters after 2000. thats my goal each time.
