The best ‘regular’ ring entrance

A great overlooked modern one is Eddie Kingston. No bells and whistles besides kissing the rosemary beads, just a man charging down to and then marching around the ring spoiling for a ruck, jacked full of adrenaline and anxiety because you completely get his character and what's going on in his head.

It's not all about showmanship - sometimes, it's about character, and everything about Orange Cassidy is perfect in the entrance. The varying hand-drawn 'insert graphic here' or, recently 'media not found' error, is always funny. The addition of the single rubbish firework. 

From the second he walks out, you get him. And he's had two separate absolute bangers of theme tunes as well.

I think the best non-theatrical Undertaker entrance has got to be from Judgment Day 1998. Just the perfect mix of music, pyro, walk to the ring, camera work and timing, all topped off by JR's excellent hype job and Kane just standing there not reacting at all.

No 1. Has to be Hogan...soon as his music hit for about 6 years straight (84-90) the pop was stupid!!!

Perfect: that music and attitude....genuinely felt grandiose

Warrior....its all in the entrance and energy....watching his entrace must have been like having 3 scoop of pre-workout!!

Probably more to do with being a fan, but Model Ric Martel.....just loved everything about the obnoxious prick character!!!  Easily one of the most underated workers ever.....and looked a million bucks!!!

Current day is easily the Jon Moxley/Deathriders entrance. It was one of the things I was most excited to see at Wembley! Those opening ominous notes always get a huge "oh shit!" reaction then that badass rock instrumental starts and it sounds like something Jim Johnston would have made in his prime. Then you've got the guys coming out the bowels of the building from red darkness looking like a proper squad and they storm through the crowd with Marina Shafir just standing around like the ultimate badass. I love it so much. Especially when they do it in a unique looking venue.

Personally, I miss his 'Wild Thing' entrance - especially when he was tagging with Eddie Kingston, although it was just generally brilliant. The Death Riders theme feels a bit too generic for my tastes, although I do agree that they come across as menacing as they do make their way to the ring, especially PAC and Shafir.

Roman Reigns' ten-minute unbeatable champion entrance, from the last few years.

My immediate first thought was Stone Cold Steve Austin. The glass shattering, he walks to the wring chatting whatever shit he does, gets in the ring and as mentioned JR absolutely loses his mind.

Goldberg's entrance in WCW at the height of the streak from security knocking on the door to him making his way out to the arena made him feel like a really big deal.

Kurt Angle's TNA entrance where he comes up on the lift and makes his way out all serious is a good one. Although his WWE entrance was good as well. The TNA one feels like what Cody Rhodes's current entrance was inspired by.

Likewise I don't think AJ Styles's entrance was as good since they got rid of the original "You are you are. I am I am" music he had in TNA.

Sting's entrance in AEW with the snow. I mean I'll mark out for any of Sting's entrances, but they made him feel even more special in AEW.

nWo Hollywood Hogan with Voodoo Chile. That's my Hogan.

King Mabel coming out on the dais in 1995. They were really trying to get him over and make him look like a big deal.

I used to love Christians entrance in the 'peeps' era. The theme music, him climbing the buckle and doing his chest-slap thing, pulling the hood up and putting his hand above his eyes to get a better view of his peeps. All good stuff.

Nick Gage, Metallica's For Whom The Bell Tolls is blasting out while he runs out into a moshpit of fans, no barrier or "guards" as he's right in there with them almost any time he's coming out in GCW. It's actually a bit of a shame when GCW decides to use a full ramp. The ring announcing will probably split people over it but I think it works perfectly for him and makes him seem like the biggest deal on the indies.
