AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026 Discussion

AAA Noche de Los Grandes ("Night of the Greats") will be filmed on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. It will air as a two-week event, every Saturday on episodes of AAA from May 30th to June 6th.

After the angle this week I expect something like this. I anticipate Kaiser-Americano will win but we shall see.

It's amazing how the whole thing is a joke in WWE but in AAA it is a molten-hot blood feud. I love it.

I won't say too much but genuinely MOTY contender with that main event. They nailed it completely. Simple wrestling storytelling at its best with a rabid crowd. Couldn't have asked for more.

I could not have asked for more from that match, the entrances, the match, the aftermath.

I saw somewhere that Taker was the agent for the match? Or he's in some kind of creative role down in AAA? 

After some research it seems the bookers down there are Taker, Borash and Konnan. Wow. Who would have thought?

I don’t follow AAA. Did anything significant actually happen that switched this El Grande Americano thing from being a daft, throwaway, slightly racist, lower-midcard feud, to being earnestly accepted as a top tier, white hot feud? Or was it just a happy accident, that happened organically thanks to the Mexican fans?

I’m happy for the lads involved, but I almost begrudge the success it’s became for the company considering the original bollocks, with the AI vignettes and, “LOL Gulf of America,” stuff.

They've just booked a killer blood feud and somehow a German is the most over guy in the country not named Mistico.

I don't think many expected the WWEfication to be so accepted, did they?

The crowd took Kaiser to their heart because he was taking the gimmick seriously, Then he officially turned Technico and became the personification of Lucha Libre, Spanish talking, Ballad singing, Baby kissing with a gorgeous Latina on his arm.

Gable came back and the crowd wanted his head on a spike.

The actual storyline was also booked very well.

Yeah the crowds in Mexico adored it. So I can't judge really. It's a good comedy feud made into a big deal. Taker is not a bad booker as it appears.

The really nice touch of having Gable's family in the ring and his youngest taking his mask off when Chad took his off was never mentioned (not in English anyway) but really well done. They lucked into this with Gable getting injured and Kaiser taking the role but they turned it into something that the Mexican crowd got behind. They paid off all the parts of the story. It won't be long before HHH is on Unreal claiming he done all of it but on the night the pay off was incredible. 

The only slight negative for me was Mysterio on commentary. His commentary seemed so stilted. Considering he is the GM he never seemed particularly enthusiastic.

We may have learned over the years that he’s a big stupid Trump supporter who wears idiotic T-shirts, but it can’t be questioned that The Undertaker actually seems to understand pro wrestling.

Funny how the ‘Cerebral Assassin’ is being shown up by the fella who pretended to be a lightning firing zombie.

It not only still works, it works better.
