If rather no less than 6. I like a bit of variety and to have some mid-card feuds thrown in. The kind of stuff that used to get set up on one Smackers and a heat or something. Quote
The King of Old School Posted April 29 Posted April 29 (edited) I imagine we'll get a Rhea Ripley title defence, and a Sami/Trick rematch added and that will be that. Crazy how different the PPV's are for the thin WWE and bloated AEW. I still think a happy medium of 6/7 maybe even 8 matches is ideal for a 3 hour PPV, it worked for years in the past no reason why it can't now, but then I suppose they wouldn't have time to tell us that a Hulk Hogan documentary is coming to Netflix 50 times. d-d-d-dAz Posted April 29 Posted April 29 As someone who doesn't watch live and has one eye on what I have to do next, a tight 5 with chunky, fast-forwardable breaks inbetween is perfect. Quote

It's the In Your House format. Nothing wrong with it, except In Your House was bargain basement PPV and this is a premium at the gate. What do people think of the "Backlash: Tampa" tag? I quite like the place name being part of it though it is infinitely better when it's outside the US. It's got a ring to it though and generates value for the "host city". Quote
MVP RULZ Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Trick vs Sami match definitely seems most likely from the Smackdown side of things. I'd have said a Tag title match between the Vision and The Street Profits seemed logical but that's another Raw match so most likely will just be a Raw match or saved for Clash in Italy which is only 5 weeks or so away itself. Cody won't be defending it seems like so a Rhea title defence vs Jacy Jayne could happen or I wouldn't be surprised if its a 6 women tag match between Rhea/Charlotte/Alexa vs Fatal Influence A 5 match 11pm start show is definitely fine with me. Fans in attendance also got awesome home video matches like Goldust Vs HBK. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted May 1 Paid Members Posted May 1 Already a better card than Mania Night One. Some fresh, interesting matches. Definitely looking too good for Joey Styles to call. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted May 1 Paid Members Posted May 1 If they didn’t need to do so much fluff, there should have been room for Io vs Asuka on one Mania or the other. Fuck this company, man. Quote

I just caught that skit where he's at The Miz residence and it's fascinating watching Danhausen doing WWE cock and bollocks because he's so good at HIS bits while everything else is rotten that he almost pulls it off through determined charm. Little things like 'Bye, The Miz' are why I can't give up on the weirdo. Quote
