This is probably full of hypocrisy and nostalgia, I will accept, but, there's something charming about them trying to do an outdoor show in Vegas at a time of struggle and Caesar's Palace constructing something in their car park that did the job and I'd never have known if I hadn't seen photos years later. However, this mob who throw money at everything building a massive "stadium" that will go back in a dump or warehouse next week when they've already built a ton of infrastructure no one uses is vulgar.

It's not, in this instance, just because it's Saudi. I already hate that the US demolish and rebuild perfectly good stadiums that have only stood for a few decades so they can have a new one with more boxes or a roof but Saudi and Qatar in their bids for major sporting events are taking that to another level. At best, creating white elephants and, at worst, wasting and land filling tons of resource. And that's without questions over the poor bastards who buid it.

Love The Rumble. Even when there’s been far more bad ones than good. Even a Blood Money Rumble. I’ll always feel like a kid on the day.

The one good thing about Jey Uso winning last year is that an outsider victory no longer feels like an impossibility. However, I’m still expecting Roman or Cody to win. Or maybe Gunther if he loses to AJ earlier in the night and they need to instantly rebuild his momentum. Can you still bet on The Rumble on any UK betting sites? If Gunther loses to AJ earlier in the night, I might quickly chuck a tenner on him.

Starting to wonder if, alongside, “The Best of Yokozuna,” the Saudi Prince’s favourite VHS tapes were the old NWA:TNA weekly shows, he’s secretly a huge AJ Styles fan, and he’s thrown them crazy money to host AJ’s final match. Good bit of a booking that I can’t predict which way it’ll go.

Oba Femi to break the record for eliminations in a single Rumble, surely?

Wonder if we’ll see Ricky Saints or Ethan Page. Wild to think those guys are still in NXT when a useless whopper like Austin Theory is on his sixth or seventh Main Roster run. Doesn’t have it. Has never had it. Never will have it.

Kit Wilson to strut out, get immediately eliminated, then strut back to the dressing room as his music kicks in again.

Saudi Rumble, you say? Surely Titus O’Niel has been offered a spot to have another go, getting the big pop for just managing to enter the ring safely and without incident.

Sami Zayn beats Drew for the WWE Title. Kevin Owens returns to celebrate, only to immediately turn heel, rip his neck brace off and reveal he’s healthy. Balance is returned to The Force.

I reckon the inevitable hug between Chris Jericho and Triple H will rival this. Can’t wait for those two carnie pricks to pretend they’re best mates.

When I first read about the stip my initial reaction was no way does AJ actually go out in a couple of weeks, but...

- it's the 10th anniversary of his WWE debut

- he's said he'd be calling it quits in 2026, and we're definitely in 2026

I wonder if they have indeed thrown him a good solid bonus to finish up sooner than he initially intended, to build into the Gunther career killer angle. If so, I'm kinda glad it'll be on a show I can comfortably watch live, as he's been a favourite of mine since he was turning up Broxbourne Civic Hall for FWA.

It's a shame Punk vs AJ may not happen. I don't view it as a dream match. As it's already happened. But they're both older, different wrestlers now. Just feels like a wasted opportunity.

Looking forward to a slightly unpredictable Rumble if anyone but Cody wins. Not that I don’t love being right, but still. Used to hate predictability, one of my big regrets was not lumping more on this double

I think, if my prediction of Liv getting kicked out of Judgment Day comes off, she’s a dead cert for the women’s.

You could say the "arena" within the Performance Center was constructed specifically for an event, I suppose.   Was supposed to just be a one off for Halftime Heat originally.

Bloody hell, it’s all going a bit “first AEW Wembley thread” in here. Anyone got the seating plan or bus times from London to Birmingham and back?

I'm looking forward to a documentary about the build.

Yeah, dunno if they're necessarily gonna to be falling over themselves to show that process to the world...
