Members SuperBacon Posted October 31, 2025 Members Posted October 31, 2025 Just now, Chili said: He does, I stupidly can't find a better description of it, but that's what pops in my head. Just this clean cut blonde uber athlete in a suit. He looks like an experiment to create the perfect athletic corporate talking head but like crossed with some deceptive comic book villain who dapper dresses. I just don't trust him, Atlanta Nazis. I hate Atlanta Nazis! You can think what you want obviously, i just think that's an incredibly harsh thing to project onto him. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted October 31, 2025 Posted October 31, 2025 Other than that, I pretty much agree with everything else about Cody. Moving on. I actually like Wrestlemania 2. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted October 31, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 31, 2025 It was categorically the right decision for Goldberg to beat both Kevin Owens and Bray Wyatt for the Title leading into those respective Wrestlemanias. Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted October 31, 2025 Paid Members Posted October 31, 2025 I'd prefer to never see Eddie Kingston or Brody King ever again. Quote

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 2, 2025 The Miz Talking Smack promo is absolutely rubbish. Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 The New Day were always shite. The "boom period" never existed. The Cena heel run was fine. It just came too late, and shouldn't have ended like it did but he was retiring so either you do it like they did or you don't do it at all. Quote

I don't think its a proper boom period in the classic way. It didn't bring any newcomers in, it wasn't talked about. Nobody outside of wrestling fandom gave a toss about Cody finishing his story. The crowds were hot, but to me, a boom period means you transcend into the mainstream. And I'm not convinced WWE did. Quote
Matthew Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 This might be a step too far, but I enjoy Seth Rollins’ work. Quote

Ah fair, it's late and I'm tired and I misread it as there has never been any boom periods because I'm shattered. Fair point. Quote

They don't have to transcend into the mainstream to be more successful. Quote

boshealecta Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Bret Hart matches are boring. They are overly long and technical and don’t have any of the fun elements of wrestling. Quote
